The Girls Do Ski Company is the presenter of Girls Day Out events which is owned and operated by Leah Evans. Leah is a female big mountain skier and a native to Red Mountain ski resort, in Rossland B.C.Leah’s inspiration to form Girls Day Out came from being a competitor on the Canadian Freeskiing tour and a columnist for biglines.com (a snow riding community website). Having a direct relationship with the media and athletes she was exposed to the minimal media coverage and established programs there were for female big mountain skiers. Leah’s goal is to provide young females with anoutlet in which they can have access to female industry mentors and role models and for these girls to realize their full potential. Leah plans to expand Girls Day Out with the help of Rossignol and collaborate with musical talents and other female snowboarding camps next year.
