COPPER MOUNTAIN BREAKS GROUND WITH

WOODWARD AT COPPER, FIRST WINTER ACTION SPORTS

TRAINING FACILITY IN U.S.

New Facility Scheduled to Open 2008/’09 Featuring Video Editing Bays, Trampolines, Foam Pits and Bungee Systems with “Environmental” Features; Preview Demo Center Opens This Month

Copper Mountain, COLO., (JANUARY 2008) – Embracing its adventurous spirit of giving guests an alternative resort experience, Copper Mountain (www.coppercolorado.com) broke ground a week ago on the first winter-focused action sports facility in the U.S., Woodard at Copper, in partnership with Woodward (www.campwoodward.com), the world’s premier action sports and gymnastics camp.  The new multi million dollar facility uses experiential methods to teach the latest tricks and skills for riding and skiing and will feature an indoor artificial snow environment, trampolines, foam pits, bungee systems and resi-pits, polyurethane foam modulars designed for tumbling. This month, Copper opens a Woodward at Copper lounge, “The Cage,” in the Village at Copper to provide guests a preview. A grand opening is slated for winter 2008-2009.

The Cage will feature an indoor skatebowl similar to ones found at Woodward Camps in addition to special editing bays for guests to capture and to edit videos of themselves for posting immediately on social websites, such as YouTube.

“This marks a new time for Copper, said Pete Woods, director of marketing at Copper. “We are staking our ground nationally and charging forward with a creative

environment to bring the most progressive ski and snowboard learning techniques to athletes and our guests. For us, it is all about giving guests the choice to step out of their daily routines and do something different. Woodward at Copper is completely unexpected, offering a fresh experience. Camp Woodward is the clear leader and respected for its leadership by athletes in the BMX and skateboarding communities. “The design for Woodward at Copper dovetails the expertise Woodward has established with its other venues.”

“This is the single most innovative project that Woodward has ever been involved with," stated Gary Ream, Camp Woodward's president. "Bringing more than 20 years experience in action sports to Copper’s awesome mountain location will be both exciting and impacting. This new facility will provide the opportunity for snowboarders and freeskiers, both beginner and elite, to reach levels, previously unattainable. Progression now has a new timeline.”

Working with dcb Construction of Denver, the new facility is striving to attain “Green Globes” recognition through a number of environmental features including an energy saving ventilation system.
