STOWE LAUNCHES 2006 RIDESTOWE.COM VIDEO CONTEST

STOWE, VERMONT (Feb. 9) - Capitalizing on the convergence and popularity of action sports and home videos, Stowe Mountain Resort announces the 2006 RideStowe.com Video Contest.  

The 2006 RideStowe.com Video Contest invites all Stowe skiers and boarders to submit their best video clips for great monthly prizes throughout February, March and April. Video clips will be submitted for judging by an esteemed panel of industry veterans and video producers who will determine the winners based on the overall production quality of the video.

With the goal of calling attention to a phenomenon that's happening on the mountain every day, Stowe hopes to capture and promote the throng of young video producers out there shooting their friends on some of the best terrain the East has to offer. Together with Gravis Footwear and Himaya Sunscreen, Stowe will give monthly prizes for the best video clip submitted. At the end of the season, during Spring Summit Celebration, Stowe will host a RideStowe.com bash to celebrate a great season of skiing, riding and shooting. Here, we'll screen all of the best videos from the season and determine the overall winner. The Grand Prize is a choice of new Skis or a Snowboard.
