APO Sammy C Pro Ski?????????

just wondering if anybody has bought them, tried them on?

Also if anybody knows how these are compared to the Armada AR7 or Thall ooor the Atomic Punx?

I havent used them, but by the specs they look like pretty generic park skis. medium- stiff flex, softer tip, full camber, moderate waist, just a little bit directional. (very similar to AR7 on paper)

I've also heard that APO skis are very durable, they use quality materials, and consistent construction. I bet Sammy is stoked on that after riding salomons haha.

but just admit it: you only want the skis because Sammy rides them.

yea they seem alot like AR7! maybe i'll go for them ;)

Hahaa well i've been wanting the Thalls for quite a while now, but i'm not feeling  the new silver graphics( yea of course the color and graphics has a saying!!) like the old school look on the new AR7 tho

But yea the APO's looks so sick and the fact that Sammy rides them silly dosen't hurt either haha!

Skis are great, I tested them in various conditions.
Regular camber, but the nose is really soft, making it easy for butters and nollies. Stiffer tails give more pop with ollies and help with landings on big kickers, bases are fast. Slanted sidewalls work good - they protect the topsheet well.
Didn't have any problems with skis yet and they were tested hard, on one backcountry jump I even broke nose part of look px 14 binding, but skis were intact.
I ride 178 model, which is 87mm underfoot, I personally prefer narrower skis - but as I said it's personal.
But this width together with soft nose made it possible to ski backcountry pretty easy, I did few drops over 5/6meters in fresh snow and had no problem with riding it away. (not a backcountry ski for sure but if you have one pair, you will be able to go off the track without worries)

i also prefer a more narrow ski but i dno, the apos seem sweet! + since i live in norway there's allways that chance of going backcountry or just finding spots so!

im gonna sett these up against the Punx and Halos and LTDs! gonna buy one of them for sure!

Wondering if someone can tell me the size specs (nose, tail, underfoot) on the 178 model: http://www.evo.com/skis/apo-sammy-c.aspx

I'm assuming its the same as for then 172 model since it's not listed, but when you're ordering skis you can never be too careful.

looks like they're 121-87-113 for the 178 model.

Definitely get a pair of APO's

I have a pair of 172 hutches (now the Kai pro) and they are super playful, buttery, and DURABLE. They flew out of the back of a truck at 70mph and there was only a light dent in the tail of one, and some minor scrapes. Also they've seen about 50 park days and not one edge crack.

Thank you! I never would of found that!

I'm thinking I am going to get the APOs, ive been looking at reviews all day and theres nothing but good things to be said about them except for a minor weight complaint but im a big guy i can handle them. Everyone has said they ride flawlessly and what you said only reinforces the durability claims.
