i have a canon rebel xti, gripped with a kit lens, batteries and everything else you would need to get shooting! $450 + shipping and it's yours.

I have a nikon d40, and it is a great beginner DSLR
However, if you want the HD video with auto focus and the ability to zoom while shoorting, the 3100,3200 or 5100 would be fantastic and still a beginner camera. I found a used one for pretty cheap, but they are also on sale new for about the same price I paid.
