Saying he isn't "pro" is pushing it IMO... there are a lot of different types of pro skiers. It all comes down to if they make enough money skiing that they don't do anything else. Now, im not one to speak for max, but im pretty sure he's be doing that for year. You don't need to make a ton of money and win contests to be pro.

The way I have been defining "pro" is making enough money to live off of threw skiing. So NO you don't need a pro model ski to be a pro thats just fucking dumb.

It goes

Just getting a pair of skis = Flow threw sponsor (local kid)

Travel budget/small retainer under $8,000 = Semi Pro (?)

Anything over $8,000 = Pro (?)

Over $25,000 = Super Pro (?)

Over $100,000 = Mega pro (Tom)

I use the 8,000 mark because that's what you can barely live on for a year.

Henrik falls underneath the category of AM on armada's website, which proves an excellent point. There are many different types of pro's. If you are sponsored skier and all you do is ski your "pro". Follow up- when you do cork fives as clean as meat, your pro.
