it's a great idea and all and would be cool to have, but if I'm going to be skiing Marmot Basin tomorrow I'm just going to go directly to their website for snowfall, Environment Canada for the forecast, and CAA for avvy conditions so I know what I'm getting is up to date and reliable. It's cool to see that Niseko just got 20 inches overnight, but that doesn't really help since you can't exactly get there for morning.
point being, 99% of skiers probably have the forecast and snow report for their home mountain in bookmarks. exactly what they need is a click away and reliable. having possibly unreliable information for resorts 2000 km away is pretty useless.

^You're right that it's useless. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes I check to see how the snow has been coming down other places just for the hell of it. I don't care if NS has one since it's not too hard to go to TGR and look, but some people might appreciate it.

I'd be down. could also use that section for park updates. Instead of the occasional large mountain park update when they do a rebuild in the one section on here. Would be cool if you could get a look at the conditions and also have a spot for park features and see whats up.
Would there still be a bunch of threads asking"omg whats this mountain like what do they have?" Probably, but it would be cool to be able to get a little more information about stuff like that while you're on here.
I mean this is a ski forum. I don't see how it would be a bad thing. Is it necessary not really. I guess it just depends on if they want it and think it's worth setting up.
