would washing a cotton hoodie with nikwax help to make it a bit more waterproof. i dont want/ need it to be like really water proof, but more so that it doesnt get soaked and freeze if snow lands on my hood or something

basically would it make a hoodie something like those new saga riding hoodies?

No clue, but you could get an old thrift store hoodie and try it? That way if it doesnt work, you didnt waste a nice hoodie.

i might try that nikwax for cotton stuff then. not looking to make it waterproof at all, just looking to add a little water repellancy so it doesnt get soaked right away when it gets some snow on it

the cotton would soak up too much for it to make a difference, there are just too many pores in cotton

it works on outerwear like wax on your bases, just filling in pores and shit
