i ski ice coast and have a pair of park skis but I'm looking for something for when i ski the glades and all mountain like mad river and killington. Im looking at a pair of 179 kung fujas and 185 jjs h I'm 6' 150 so i wondered what would be better to throw around in the trees and all mount. I knw the jjs are more powder oriented and longer, but I've heard they have a nice turn radius and rip everywhere.

Yep jjs are awesome for pow and trees, very tight turn radius I love the agressive rocker onthem, allows you to ski em anywhere. I have no experience with the pep fujas

jj is going to be wider than the fujas, so it will float more. the jj is also very light and quick in the trees.

the k2 is damp and good at handling many different snow conditions. the shape is also more park friendly than the jj if that matters.

both are good. jj if u dont care about park or groomers and want a pure all mountain ski. kung fujas if you want to do a little bit of everything.

Fujas are quite a bit softer than the JJ

If you are gonna be rocking them on the ice coast mostly I would really push you towards the fujas. The JJ's are not the best for dealing with hard conditions (which you will encounter even on a pow day). Other skis to look at in that range that would be good:

line SFB
line Blend
volkl Wall
salomon shogun (this would be great for the eats coast)

i will stand by my armada jjs as one of the best all mountain skis ever.
i've been on them for 2 full seasons and used them 200 plus days across those two seasons.
i'm 6'3" 215 and i'm a very aggressive skier
the jjs can handle absolutely any condition and perform very well
In pow they are unstoppable and they are so light that my freestyle skills have increased rapidly in the backcountry much more quickly then i anticipated
on hardpack and crud conditions the jjs become tanks with the positive camber underfoot and the forgiving yet stable stiffness

for real
get jjs

I've always thought the fujas were more of a one ski quiver, rather than the JJ which is pretty much just strictly a pow ski.
I love my JJ's but if you are more of a charger when you ski, you won't be a big fan. JJ's float over everything which I love, but since I live on the East Coast, I really don't get to use them that much.

Also, the JJ's are BY FAR the lightest ski I have owned. It is incredible how light of a ski Armada managed to make it, especially for a pow ski.

Damp skis are smoother in crud, get bounced around less, and usually do better at speed. The down side of damp skis are that they usually don't feel as responsive and "fun" as less damp skis. K2s are usually damp (I haven't skied the fujas), while jj's are not.

im leaning towards fujas because i will def be on some variable conditions. the fujas should be better in the ice. Does anyone had experience with the jj as an everyday ski on the east coast?

Just a few days ago before the end of Session Tres, we had the honor to have Pep Fujas at camp. The afternoon felt like a spring day but with nice snow. Campers lapped the park till sundown and had a chance to hang, shredd and be inspired by Pep Fujas.
