Definitely buying K2 Domains. Love the 90 base, fully symmetrical dems, park rocker and play. Any downsides people know of?

They are so unbelievably flexy that you can bend them backward in a C shape.

Picked up some night trains for pow, and thinking about buying either the domains or halos or travelling circus. Depends on how much money I can get/possible Christmas present.

Nothing. I am using my afterbangs that I used last season. Geez does everyone on here get new skis every year?
I had 2008 Lib tech pipe NAS. I skied those things until last season. 166, back mounted 2 cm, and I still rode them through everything. they were so beat to shit I had to get a new pair of skis. I'll use my libs for backyard setups I guess

Moment Night trains because I am a POWDER HOUND. There super light weight so you can stiill kinda use them as a park ski. But 123 underfoot so there sick
I don't scream like a 9-year-old girl when I ski park, so powder is obviously better.

I've tried the ARV my firend had and it skis very similar to my AR7(more park oriented and better overall ski for quality) but is wider underfoot so if you go with Armada I'd say go for the AR7 unless you plan to ski a decent amount of powder, which ARVs will work great for too. Domains are another great choice, I used to ride K2s and they are quality, they lasted me 2 and half years of hard skiing until the edge ripped out of the nose. K2s will be more buttery(actually very buttery IMO)the Ar7s are stiff enough for jumps but have a nice snappy butter and flex for nollies etc. Punx on the other hand are great! I have not skied on them but I hear they are fun, they are stiff and geared more towards jumps from what I hear. All great skis. If you pick one tell me which, because I want to know for future reference in my own purchasing.
Alright I don't like to say no to things but this statement is completely false. The arv is extremely more flexly and more of a soft forgiving all mountain ski, while the ar7 is a stiff park ski.
skiing is awesome!!! :)

SIP Sarah! :) we will miss you!

Where to Store Skis in the Summer

May 31st 2012

Storing your skis properly in the Summer can help your skis last much longer.  Even if you're replacing your skis every year (cough cough and buying them from The Ski Monster cough cough) having your back up pair or 'rock skis' in better shape is always a good thing.  When thinking about where you should store your skis in the Summer, think about where you would keep your dog if you were to run out for a long day of errands.  You wouldn't put your dog in the garage, it's hot in there.  You wouldn't put your dog in the attic either, that's way too hot and a little weird.  The Basement, sure if there is carpet or a mat for it to lay down and rest on.  Don't forget the dog needs food and water too. Food and water to a dog is what wax is to skis.  Skis should be waxed prior to storing them for the Summer.  Don't worry about scraping, the excess wax is a great protective barrier.  The wax on the skis will help keep the moisture in the bases, the excess wax on the edges will keep them from getting rusty and gross. Dogs don't like to be hot and neither do skis.  Keeping your skis in the garage or attic can cause them to sweat, that little bit of moisture the skis have in their bases that's keeping them healthy wants to get out.  If you have ever noticed the bases of your skis looking white and fuzzy it's because they are dry aka unhealthy.   The best place to store your skis during the off season is in a temperature controlled environment that is away from the sun; such as your bedroom, closet or even underneath your bed.  It is best not to store them on concrete, the concrete releases a lot of moisture and can cause the edges closest to the concrete to rust.  Treat your skis well and they will last much longer.  Skis can only be tuned so many times, every time they are tuned material is taken away from the skis, keep your skis and healthy to get as much time out of them as possible.
