Most ski areas have closed for the year. Red Lodge Summer Ski Camp, near the top of Beartooth Pass opens tomorrow.

Here is a picture of the ski area today, looks like a pretty sweet June opening day tomorrow.

The little ski area boasts 1000 vertical feet and 600 acres on Twin Lakes Headwall. The ski area features slopes up to 50 degrees steep, cornices, chutes, drops, jumps, and rails at the bottom.

The Second Annual Beartooth Summer Session will be held June 20-24. The session includes free 12/13 ON3P demos, guided backcountry skiing, and a big mountain slopestyle comp.

Here is what the headwall looked like on June 25, 2011 day 1 of the 1st Beartooth Summer Session.

Were in final negotiations with some sponsors, after we get that all figured out prices will be announced. Were trying to make this as cheap as possible for people who just want to come shred and hang out. Stay tuned, prices will be up as soon as they are finalized.

What would the cost be to come up camp + watch for a few days? Don't have the knee ability to go skiing yet, and will be in San Francisco for the first few days, but I am extremely interested in just heading up to camp for the weekend.

Comp price will be announced in the next day or two. Lift tickets are $45 a day, $40 a day during the dates of the session.

agreed, I've done a few of them.

But I live much closer now so I'm def gonna try to hit this. Although I wish it were a bit earlier this season cuz snowfall wasn't the same as last year. If my cards were played right [willing compadres], I would be up there NOW. (only 4 hours from me)

Here are some prices, these will be put up in our store, and registration will be open as soon as the comp day prices are set.

Beartooth Summer Session Pass Includes 3 lift tickets, 4 nights, after party, t shirt, raffle tickets, meet and greet dinner $270

Upgrade to one BC day +$30

Upgrade to comp day +$TBD**

OR

Lift tickets $40/day $40 price only good for the dates of the session (June 20-24 2012)

Bunks and access to kitchen and showers $35/night. Available nights of June 20, 21, 22, 23

Camp on site with access to kitchen and showers $7/night. Available nights of June 20, 21, 22, 23

Big mountain slopestyle comp $TBD**

**Proceeds from competition entry fees go to the cash purse for the competition. Competition entry fees will be announced after final sponsor negotiations, we want to keep it cheap but we also want to build a good purse.

Just got back from a few days in the Beartooths.

Lots of snow in the ski area, and camping at Rock Creek is on point as usual. If you've never been here before, it truly is a gem. Camp by a creek with your friends, shred corn in the sun on top of the world..

Yes, the park is open to the public. The only exception will be for a few hours on Saturday June 23 when the park and part of the upper mountain will be closed for the comp.

Hey guys, just wanted to bump this thread with a little stoke. The ski area got snowed on all weekend and is starting to prepare for the Summer Session. The spring started off a little rough but it cooled off again and more snow came. The ski area will have a healthy base and park during the session.
