yep but its kind of called for. As they dont have any dynamite they can't do any avy control so the only way to stop anybody getting hurt is to pull passes, yes this would seem uncalled for but all it takes is one punter who has a vague notion of where is good to ski to set one off, like this today and get fucked up.Yeah I'm the same haha, hoping to head up sometime soon though. it sucks that they were having to pull passes of people who probably knew what was safely skiable out that way. Reading comments, seems it was a fairly capable boarder who set it of and then his friend dropped in the gully next to it and did the same. so clearly the danger was there to have it closed, hopefully it will stabilise to be ridable soon.

This is true but on the other hand im sure there will be some small print in the ticketing agreement that if you are deemed to be posing a danger to other users they have the right to take your pass.

Sunshine Village in Banff is generally open well into may, but this year they broke their all time record for snow fall and the deepest the pack was like 10 feet(pretty shocking considering how shitty this season was everywhere else) but with the snow they have now it wont surprise me if they are open well into June!

Our mountain has enough snow to still be open, Hell it snowed on our mountain bout 10cm like two days ago, it snowed in town too. There just too fuckin cheap.
Crystal Mt! Plus the added bonus of massive goggle tan this past weekend made it an awesome day. They should be open next week, then after that its up to them to decide if its worth stayin open.

Well was talking tomy dad about it today I guess they did open for Canada day once back around 1990 something haha. Parks were probably a little easier on them back then. Lake Louise has extended there seasons the last 2 years as well but only for 1 week after.
