pretty much this. They ski most everything. They ski pow pretty well, and ski corn really well. They'll carve on the groom/ I have no personal experience with them in the park, so i can't comment on them there. As with all all mt. skis, the Turbo is good everywhere, and not really great anywhere. On deep days you will want a wider ski with more rocker, and there are much better park skis out there. At that price though, for a solid high quality all mt ski, you are getting an amazing deal.
I suffer from chronic Mad Pow disease, it causes me to miss work, school, etc. when their is new snow.

I got 189 turbos this year after I sold my 188 crjs and I must say because of the snow we get here in Colorado, I am a lot happier with the 189 turbos. The ski is GREAT for everything above treeline on non pow days and amazing everywhere for any powder day. I have them mounted where they should be at traditional so they were perfect for deep days at Wolf Creek. I think if you mount them traditional they will be ideal in deep days, however, if you mount them more forward, they will not be as ideal as a rocker ski mounted forward of course.

I was not a fan of the CRJ simply because it was too short and I do not see the benefit of rockered skis that everyone else sees. If your skiing in bounds mostly with the turbo at a resort that gets tracked out fast (which is most resorts in the US), I would strongly suggest the turbo. Most big rockered skis are more beneficial in my opinion as touring skis or backcountry only skis. I am 6ft 175 and they 189 is perfect. It skis kind of short as well being as it has no rocker. I got the model with no early rise as well which I love.

My 189 Turbos go into the truck every day.  Some days my pow skis come out as well, but most days I'm just as happy skiing the Turbos.

FWIW, I'm 5"11/190, mounted with Dukes at -1, skiing with Tecnica Cochise boots., and I ski Kicking Horse.

I wouldn't center mount a ski thats not meant to be center mounted. I'm not sure where the "traditional" mount line is on this ski but I'd say 2 cm back from center will be good and you will still have a good amount of tail to ski switch on.

will -2 make much difference from the center line when skiing switch?

True but i never find myself wanting charge switch in big mtn terrain thats 45 to 50 degrees. Also depends on what you use it for. The more tail you have the harder it will be to manuever the ski in any kind of mogul terrain. I went through 5 diff mounts on my bacons over the years. Mainly bc of binding switches. I was at +3, +6, +12( mistake), +7.5 (tried it), the back to +5 and from that experience i will always mount a ski as close as possible to recommended if im skiing it all over the mtn. Park is a different story cause i always dead center all park skis. Its just much of a pain in the ass outside the park on a dead center mounted ski and vice versa in the park on a traditional mounted ski.
