Subject: The 2013 armada ar7's are boring

makes me sad. I was set on buying these because I love this ski but now im leaning more towards some ON3P Filthy Rich's. I feel as if FR's arent as good outside the park though and being a 60-70% park skiier I would like something that can still kill it all mountain. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Sorry to make such an open ended thread but theyve always provided me with good advice in the past

Obviously being a throwback graphic its not going to be the sickest graphic of the season based on looks alone. To me it is the sickest graphic simply due to the nostalgia it brings back from my yesteryears. I remember 10 years ago sitting in the local shop staring at the original AR5's, a ski from a new company with thall, boyd easley, and evan rapps! TITS. It just brings back the memories. For the 13 and 14 year olds, I'm sure many will not give a shit. But if I decide to get new skis this fall, hello AR7s.
That's what stickers are for. Or buying last year's model at a discount. I can't believe we're actually discussing topsheets as criteria for buying skis here.

I'm 15, and have no clue what you're talking about when you talk about old shit, but personally I think It's the coolest topsheet I've seen for next years equipment, and if my Halos go down this year, I'm going for the AR7. If I were OP, I would get them in a heartbeat.

This. I want to get a pair (or track down a good condition pair of originals) and not even ride them. If you don't like the graphic put stickers on. Simple as that. Don't buy a ski based on the topsheet as stated before this. Armada didn't change anything from last years ar7 so it will "kill it".
Season is too short to be waiting in lift lines in wisconsin.

i'm considering buying the 2013 ar7 because it seems like it's a very good ski and the simple graphic is something I like... there's way too much colors, and shit on most other skis for my taste lol
This year's AR7 graphic is my favorite. I think last year and the one before that were pretty ugly, but this graphic is awesome and reminds me of the Session 1242 days.
My friend still rocks the original ar5. Sickest ski of all time.

Thomas is right, but based on the fact OP is basing his ski decision on graphics he is most likely 12 and therefore will be plenty happy with noodly soft armadas so he can enjoy is 50 foot NY hill hitting butter boxes and sitting on his tails.

i think older members will all agree that the AR7 graphic is extremly acceptable and solid all around. the og AR5 was a legend that so many peole dont know about anymore. id rock those all day but i still got another year for mine hopefuly

Obviously your reading comprehension needs some work. Did you read my whole post? Were you not able to quote the whole sentence? To reiterate what you failed to understand, I said they aren't going to be the sickest graphic "based on looks alone." Now, allow me to elaborate. Is it the greatest piece of artistic genius to ever grace the topsheet of a ski? No, not really let's be honest. It's not about that and you appear to understand that fact as well. It's purely about the history and the memories. But your ability to only read the first 3/4 sentence of my post leaves you misunderstood. Just like the skittles clothing trend is ridiculous, there are quite a few "skittles" top sheets out there that are equally ridiculous.
