Next week begins the most wretched of all weeks of the school year. Which tests are you guys taking? Are you ready yet?

I'm taking chemistry and calculus BC. I've already taken two legit, timed practice tests for chemistry and I managed to get fives on both. As far as calculus goes, I am much less confident.
I think it'd be pretty sweet if I dated a 16 year old. -bock

Macro will be easy, Calc not so much
I suffer from chronic Mad Pow disease, it causes me to miss work, school, etc. when their is new snow.

Well I took AP Chem today. I went in, looked at the test, hopped on the rape train and rode it all the way to failure. (although I bet I got a 3)

also, to anyone who took AP world in the past, how easy/hard did you find the test? were going through practice tests in my class and i feel like i'm so screwed. was it easier/harder than expected and which parts?

Personally I don't see the point in taking AP classes unless it is a subject you are really interested in. Just curious why you guys do?  I have the option to sign up for a few next year but I'm not sure about it.

It wasn't to hard, i remember alot of the questions being pretty general ( big picture kinda thing) also connect themes from each time period. I'd also recommend AP World History: An Essential Course book...this helped me a ton! I got a 5 on the test and I'm not that great of a student.

The chemistry multiple choice was a walk in the park. The calculator portion of the free response was a bitch at first. I really had to calm myself down and just think things through. The rate law question asked about initial rate which i completely forgot and asked about the graph of the curve which i guessed correctly. The titration question had the hardest parts for me. I got to the last 2 parts of the question and kinda gave up but i wrote down a coulle equations so hopefully i get 1 or 2 points. As for the non calc portion of the free response, i thought it was a breeze. The only hard equation was the srco3 with h+ and cl-. I think i remembered my solubility rules correctly but we'll see. The iodine and pb electrochemistry questions werent too bad either. K answer time: did you get propane c3h8 for the hydrocarbon question and copper cu as the metal for the electro chemistry question?

World was easy for me. I got a 5.

That could be that I followed the following progression all year:

-Skim the Textbook Chapter Friday
-Read the Textbook Chapter Sunday
-Outline the Textbook Chapter Monday
-Notecards for the Textbook Chapter Tuesday
-Thematic Questions for the Textbook Chapter Wednesday
-One-Page Reflection for the Textbook Chapter Thursday
-Test over the Textbook Chapter Friday
-Start over from the beginning.

...and then all of our class time was filled with discussions on that week's material. It was intense class (two hours of homework or more nightly), but it was worth it for the 5.

as someone who didnt care about AP tests because they didnt affect my grade, i would high recommend studying your ass off and trying on them. Had I spent just the night before studying for them I would have been able to finish a bachelors and masters degree in 4 years instead of 5. and trust me, the classes you will test out of will be much harder and much more work in college.

I took AP Environmental Science because I love it. If there is a course you really like then the AP can get you college creds so you dont have to take the beginner in college. They also help you get in to college. And my school requires them
