Sorry Chaunceyskis, I couldn't wait to make the thread.

Post up videos of your favorite pros killing it, pics of some sick spots in your town, or videos of you landing a new trick, ask about tricks, give advice on tricks, discuss/review skates, and discuss the latest news in the world of aggressive skating!

Eventually, we could even use this thread for buying, selling, and trading parts or full skates.

First off, what are your thoughts on the beginning of powerblading? Kizer has just brought the concept into play in the aggressive rollerblading game with their new frames able to hold 4 80mm wheels while still allowing soul and negative plate grinds. Check the fourth and fifth edit for some powerblading shots.

Second, there is a lot of good advice on what type of skates suit you in this thread, as well as where to buy full skates/parts,(http://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/615627/), all courtesy of a_pla5tic_bag

theres really a lot of stuff you can get for that price, thats like the sweet spot of completes. Personally I'd switch out the wheels for the new eulogies.

also these, they're a little more than you might want but i really like the carbon and frees. these are frees, they feel exactly like the carbons. I have carbons right now, but in the future i'll just get frees since they're cheaper and the exact same more or less.

both of those have fluids 4's which I quite like. Of course i'm advocating stuff i use, but CO's, FLT2's are good, so are genesys and SL's.

razors genesys, i got my pair for 180$ with free shipping, and if u throw in new wheels and a pair of bones super reds, you will be at about 230-240$, and with a great pair of skates

rollerblading is all fucked up. no one knows how to run a business the same like 15 pros from right after UFS was invented are still the only pros pretty much. when this whole thing goes under, i won't be surprised. There will always be someone to make stuff though.

that, and there is a section that says something like "I'm not afraid to tell someone when they are not doing good enough, or if they are not going to get paid, or laid off" when he is a manager. He is being the biggest hypocrite in the world, because that's exactly what he is bitching about JC doing. He's saying he would do what JC did to him if the circumstances were right, like the conference and xsjado thought they were to pretty much lay him off the team

New remz mold dropping next week. HR 1.2, blue and white, with centered frame alignment in the soul plates, and just generally improved over the previous skates.

i skated tri rocker for awhile.. idk there are major upsides and alot of downsides..

UPSIDES: Really good grip, get a really fast push(accelerate faster/easier), still allows you to do backside tricks

DOWNSIDES: you still grip frontside tricks unless you are very good at them(makes learning new tricks hard), awkward amount of wheels/bearings to purchase, awkward wear(front wheels last forever and the backwheel wears fast), rotating this awkward wear is confusing... unless you do it extremely often, you will get(per skate) 2 big wheels and 1 small... when you decide to rotate you cant skate trirocker anymore.

MY OPINION: if you are going to skate more wheels than an anti rocker setup, you should just skate flat..

figured out that you can slide rails MUCH easier when you take out the two inner wheels on each skate. probably a gaper moment but since my great discovery last week I've been skating for a few hours each day and learned a bunch of new grinds and spins out. also been watching some blading edits and it's so far ahead of skateboarding the two aren't even close it's crazy.

I don't really know any of the terms youre saying but I have k2 fattys and they have 4 wheels all the same size so I'd always catch wheel on rails

WHAT UP GUYS

i'm selling my size 10.5 razors genesys 7.3 black boots.

they haven't been used very much, but there are a few main problems.

1. they aren't broken in.

2. there is a sizeable blood stain on the left skates tongue.

3. one of the strings is taken out... there were two strings on each skate but now only one... no big deal.

other than that they are a little beat up but nothing too bad.

I'M SELLING THE BOOTS ONLY, NO FRAMES, WHEELS, OR BEARINGS.

SOUL PLATES ARE INCLUDED THOUGH.

i can provide pictures if anybody is interested.

once you guys learned soul grinds where did you go from there?

i can royale and soul at this point.

i tried the one like a soul grind except your front foot is facing outward instead of inward.... forget what it's called though. and should i even start trying opposite foot souls, like unnatural souls?

and ally oop is when you spin away from the rail and then do the grind correct?

so like an ally oop soul would be a 90 degree spin away from the rail and then kinda sliding the rail backwards?

i'd approach from left, spin to the right, then slide with my left foot/soul foot first

yeah thats what i've heard...

maybe i really just suck at skating though it took me a solid 7 (or so) 1 hour sessions to learn soul grinds decently well... =/
