kind of a longshot, but are you still interested in the line afterbangs? I have a pair that I would let go pretty cheap.

I'm just going to point out that you're getting pissed at someone for asking a question about skis in "ski gear" forum...

And to the question, I've never had the chance to ride A-Bangs but I heard they are pretty good for rail skiing, but there's definitely better all-around skis in Line's selection that they offer IMO.

apperantly they have wicked durability issues. but i enjoyed mine. super playful, tons of fun to mess around on rails. but they were heavy. and to soft for jumping.

If you've put a lot of time into well thought out posts on topics that come up frequently just make a notepad document on your desktop and then copy paste. It would take just as much (or less) time as typing out what you just did and I'm sure people would appreciate getting well written replies. Also the search function doesn't work as well as you might think.

I love mine. I honestly don't know where the hate stems from. Personal preference I guess.

Some of you kids are rediculous.
When this thread was made SIX MONTHS ago, I posted to 4 different threads about A-Bangs ALL on the front page.
The OP was too lazy to even regard looking for an answer and instead decided to clutter up our message board with another useless a-bang thread.

That said, stay tuned for a first hand review.
I have wrecked the shit out of my a-bangs this past season and they keep coming back for more.
not a single edge crack, and they feel just as heavy as the day I bought them.
This whole "water-logged" deal is just a wives tale imo.

The bases heald up great aside from being slammed into rocks, tree stumps, dirt, and rails. Not a single core shot.

the top sheet can splinter, but just be sure to take a fine grit sandpaper and rub over the rough spots after using - problem solved.

The tips also rockered a little - mainly because I enjoy stressing them (nose blocks, butters, nollies, etc).
But it doesn't effect the performance - mainly just makes them more fun.

The bases were by no means slow. In fact - they heald up with any other park ski great.
Just make sure to wax on the regular (I did mine every other time).

Total I have about 23 days on 'em.

I'll be using mine well into the 12/13 ski season. Super fun buttery ski that still holds an edge well enough to enjoy the whole mountain.

HIGHLY recommend.
