if you think that oil is going to be the future of transportation you are dead wrong.. I'm all about 0 emissions and green power and this is by far the greenest power that is out there today.. I have been doing a bit of looking up on this technology.  it basically uses the Idea of the magnetic motor and something like an alternator to generate power from magnetic engines.

But anyways thats a bit off topic, i'd rather go home and eat some fancy dish soaps.

There are a lot of problems when it comes to these types of energy sources. For example the price for a hybrid car to be assembled are for more expensive then a normal car and use tons of natural resources which in the long run does not make the fuel efficiency worth while. All im saying is this alternatives sources of energy are often not worth it in the long run.

Well, I've been saying for a while that the solution to our energy demands is magic. That dude in the first video seems to be just the guy. Unlike every machine ever made that is far less than 100% efficient, it actually produces more energy than it consumes.

here are some other decent video's... the old guy is pretty old though.. but he's one smart old guy...  I would personally like to see these motors take off... I wouldn't mind getting some plans to build my own little self sustaining generator...  would be great

I think she should stop using it now while we still have some left.  just in case we need it. for something later.  I have been watching some crazy videos on plasma and stuff too...  I would love to start studying how elements react and how they work.  I have always know that magnets can be used for something more than what they have been...  i mean look at the bullet train in japan.

He isn't creating new energy. He is putting in a small amount of energy, which is multiplied by the magnetic force (energy) which is already present in the magnetic fields being produced. It then exits the mechanism at a different frequency and therefore produces more power. All he is doing is harnessing a natural force, like wind or solar energy, and making it usable.

this hahah its obvious that oil will not last much longer as a power source, we need alternatives.

I was reading a magazine about tunneling (my dads an engineer and is doing a huge tunnel project so he had it) and they had an article about a very cool new geothermal source of energy.

basically, they would run a pipe 3-6 km through the earths soft crust or some shit (they already have the capabilities to tunnel 3 km down) into rock that is over 200 degrees celsius. then they would pump water down onto the rocks, where it would create huge amounts of steam, and run up another tube through a turbine. The steam could then condensate again in some sort of reservoir where it could be pumped down again and again. That was a super super simplified version of the whole process obviously, the article explained a lot more.

The sick thing about that source of energy is that it could be accessible anywhere on earth. They could even drill down in the ocean to make offshore rigs but i dont see how that would really be beneficial lol. and since the Earth's core is virtually an unlimited energy source, the systems would never run out or cool down and could be used indefinitely.

So each plant would use a large quantity of water, but otherwise nothing. no harmful byproducts or mining required, considering they could tunnel down without drastically effecting the earth. its the future man, the future. congratulations for reading all that, i hope it made sense.

This is new to you? The majority of energy in Iceland (like 60-70%) comes from this and it has been around and popular for years.

It’s actually quite the opposite – oil will last much longer, as more than just a power source. Petroleum products are part of almost every aspect of our lives. People think of oil as just gasoline but that is only one product created from crude. Ever use plastic?

Geothermal energy is not new technology. It’s also not cheap, making it unrealistic for most countries.

no i know geothermal energy is nothing new but it has never been done to this magnitude, because they cant physically drill that deep yet. this is like, next level shit. and the reason Iceland uses so much geothermal is because they naturally have a lot of volcanoes and geysers and ways to harness the planets natural heat. Most other places in the world would have to drill down to get it. which is where the 6km deep tunnels come into play. so its not a new concept, i know, but its a new, bigger implementation of it. sorry if that was unclear

i actually agree with you. they will "discover" tons of new oil spills every decade and we will have oil for a long time.

-----------

best part about technology is that it becomes more affordable as it evolves.

and geothermal energy is definitely something new when talking about 3km deep holes. like my uncle has a geothermal thing "fueling" their house and they only dig 300 ft deep or so.

the poor countries dont benefit too much from "their" oil either. and most western countries should at some point hear the sound of the future and change to renewable ressources.

i know it has nothing to do with reality but i somehow like the "world" in final fantasy VII (sick game btw, i played 10 years ago). companies using whatever that energy was called, mako or something, (~oil) without thinking about the future used up all the planets "energy" by doing that. although i dont believe horseshit in stuff like karma or so, i think we really should try to promote renewable energy and try not to change too much of this planet in ways that are irreversible.

and if its only for the fact that its not "our" oil but also our children's and grandchildren's oil if that makes sense to you. i really hope that my kids and grandchildren can see the world like i can. i am not a whale-hugging hippie as you would say but idk why any generation should have the right to completely exploit natural ressources and not even propose efficient solutions for the future.

Reread the first sentence of your post, then understand that multiplying energy is the same as creating energy.
The idea is that it's multiplying the amount of USABLE energy. He is putting in a small amount of usable energy in order to harness the energy produced by the magnets, and make it usable as well. Whether it works or not is a different story, but the idea is that the energy is all there, but that on their own the magnets can't run an engine. Nothing is created or lost, but energy that is already present is made usable.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If you create energy using magnets, then you have to move them away from each other using the energy you created. This process has inherent loss in the system. Usable energy doesn't mean anything.

It’s actually quite the opposite – oil will last much longer, as more than just a power source. Petroleum products are part of almost every aspect of our lives. People think of oil as just gasoline but that is only one product created from crude. Ever use plastic? Geothermal energy is not new technology. It’s also not cheap, making it unrealistic for most countries.
yeah no shit, if you read what you had quoted you would have noticed that I said "as a power source". plastic is not a power source. ever use a plastic power source? the fuck you did.
Do you think pros have fun when they are training so they can win comps and put food on the table to support their baby momma? Fuck fun its all about the Cash serious people need to eating and eating is not always fun

Freeskiing 2.0: The Future Of Comp Skiing

Nov 13th 2012

The debate rages on over where skiing will go in the future. Some believe that freeskiing’s demise will be brought by triple flips and huge kickers. Others think that the future of freeskiing is on the streets, in urban rails and tranny-finders. Most are hoping for a sudden influx in stylish skiing. But where is skiing really going?
