Icon Uploader Issues?

Anyone still having issues with the Icons please do the following:

1) right click and download this icon Click for larger image

2) Try to upload that as your own

3a) If that works, then the problem is with your image file
- Check to make sure your icon is 50x50px
- Make sure the file size is under 8kb
- make sure it is jpg or gif

3b) If that icon doesn't work for you, then we may still have uploader issues.
- Give us as much detail as possible including: Icon file size, dimensions and type, browser type, versions, popup blockers, O/S

We want to make this work, but we've had a hell of a time trouble shooting since it seems to work for all of us.

I can't make an icon that is 50x50 and under 8kb on photoshop. They are all like 20 kb. Anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks so much for the help bro. Solution for me was that I was trying to upload a .bmp when it needs to be a .jpg image. I think the old uploader required .bmp so thats why i was confused when it didnt work.

MAKE SURE THE ICON IS A JPEG IMAGE!!!

ok, so i changed it and it downloaded fine, it showed up on my profile on the same screen but when i go back to my profile or forums ect. it goes back to the default icon??? how do i fix this?

THIS IS FOR WINDOWS 7 IT SHOULD BE ABOUT THE SAME FOR VISTA OR XP
1. open ms paint
2.import/drag in photo
3. click the image tab
4. click re size
5. on "re size" select pixels
6. uncheck the box that says maintain aspect ration
7. enter in 50 into horizontal, and 50 into vertical(don't change Skew)\
8. save the pic!!!
9. upload to NS!
AND THAT"S IT FOR SIZING BOYS AND GIRLS!!!! have a freaking awesome day!

Also try clearing your cache, its possible your browser is saving the icon in random places

for me, i realized that my icon was 49x49. make sure your icon is 50x50 and under 8k

File is 4k. It's a jpg. It's 50x50.

firefox/safari worked. This is mac 10.8

When i upload a picture for my icon, it appears as it should. Its the right size pixels and file size. But when i leave the page it goes back to the automatic NS bullshit icon. Whats up

i tried the backwards ns logo and it worked, but when i tried to upload the icon i want, it says finished but it doesnt change. jpeg image, 50x50. help

I'm also having issues - tried to upload the backward image it changes but when I leave the page it reverts back to the old image. Checked my picture is 50px by 50px and only 4kb. Any help?

when you file > save, go to save for web and devices and change the jpg quality to low.

For anyone having animated gif issues. With Photoshop and the website I have found sometimes it will round up. So say its like over 7.56kb it won't work but mine is 7.04 kb and it works. Just figured I'd say something to help someone who may get frustrated and save them some trouble.
