So for the upcoming season at dagmar, the owners are looking at giving the park a bit of a facelift, they are looking for some suggestions for the park. so the main thing is what would you like to see happen with the park at dagmar this year? For example how the park is set up, and new features you would like to see this season? just post suggestions here and all suggestions will be taken in to consideration.

($50+) comeeeeeee onnnnn. half pipe. these are not MY ideas, they are common things that are implemented by almost every other ski resort i have skied at. there is a reason why these ideas exist and are practiced. why do i bother? because i would love to see dagmar improve. and i hope that potentially someone who is not as defensive as yourself will one day read some of this and agree. That no matter how good you think something is, it can always always be better. if this all seems like "hate" to you, maybe you should sit down for a sec. think really long and hard. re-read every word ive wrote, not just in this post. but in every post in this thread. think long and hard some more. and hopefully, eventually notice, that my supposed "hate" kinda seems alot like "love". i just want to see it be better man, deal with it.

My old hill tyrol basin in wisconsin has a pipe that is unmatched in the midwest, and it's been mentioned on tw numerous times. it's actually one of the first resort halfpipes, but the whole place is only 300 feet vertical. A small hill can have a good pipe, but it's going to hog a lot of resources during the season. tyrol doesn't even have a jump line, because of the pipe; it takes so much to maintain. The only reason the pipe is still there is tyrol's reputation as "the pipe place", although nobody really rides it anymore. I say focus on improving the park instead of half assing both

Trust me there have been discussions about this. A park pass was suggested for the current season and they were unable to put it into effect.

I completely agree with a park pass, its only beneficial, provides more money for the park to maintain it and it keeps at the rift raft out.

They didn't have time for it this year but hopefully one will be put into effect next year

I think a parkpass system is good in theory but, doesn't always work the best. the reason being, everyone who wants to ride park will get one...so, those people in question who are not the best in the park will get that pass anyway...plus, you now will have to have someone posted at the entrance to the park checking parkpasses....which is annoying...

true. at devil's glen they make you watch some shitty video, and when i was doing so some mom walks in with a bunch of 7 year old looking kids to get park passes.

it does weed out a few, but any gapers who come out regularly will probably pick up a park pass.

I judge wisely, as if nothin ever surprise me.

I agree, but for the case of Dagmar, the park pass would only be for the big park and not the little park. Letting anyone who is just learning park to be able to but it also keeps the traffic out of the big park and it would eliminate parents with their two children standing on the knuckle of the jumps in the jump line.

The impound (smaller) park is finally open and there was two builds in the past two days, a whole bunch of new features got put in and changes are going on in the park! the jump line is killer right now! second set lip got rebuild and is now huge! i'll try to post up some videos of the new setup within the next few days. Also the airbag will be out this weekend and i'll be filming on it with this 15 ft camera boom

The rest of the new features are getting finished and will be arriving very soon hopefully, GET STOKED!!!

Yeah i know its real original, not like every resort in North America has one now, its a pretty standard feature. That's like saying haven't seen a feature like a jump around anywhere.

I was at the Dag for the first time on friday and the park was looking decent, lots of features and a few options to hit it for some of the features which was nice too. bulletproof ice but as long as you didnt fall you were fine :P

can dagmar invest in a big fucking wall at the base of the hill that stops the wind from ripping up hill and slowing what little speed you actually get lol...serious...do it!

Kyle, cannon's have to have a little over half of the rail buried in the jump in order for them the stay put, and a 5 foot cannon out of a jump doesn't sound that fun to me..

Well what I shared was what got ordered form Coastal Jibs, i never said that those were the only new things happening.

plus that rail idea was suggested in october and since so much has been going on, and having to wait on the end caps and 90 degree bends for the larger one, it only got welded last week when there was time

Just wait for it, we just put it in as a flat but its gonna get changed around. not a cannon but its going to be a nice up rail in the big park.

I really wish there were some slightly smaller jumps similar to the old stepup jump that are easy and lower risk to learn stuff on. that stepup was the best

Yeah for sure.. Just a little less poppy and I think the Step up would be sick. I guess a little more in the middle of what it is now and what it was.
