One of my least favorite things in the world is kids who use the HDR effect on Picnik or their iPhone, and think that it really is HDR. I also had a girl tell me the other day that "she takes better pictures than me because she has a better camera." I've got a d40x and she has a t3i. She won't accept that photography isn't about having an expensive body and taking pictures of one thing with an out of focus background.

Also, girls who have an album on their facebook labeled "photography," and you look in it and half of it is pictures taken on their fucking webcam that they increased the contrast on and wrote some dumb song lyrics from a day to remember on.

I once had a girl show me her portfolio that she was planning on handing into SCAD, all the pictures within it being taken on a Nikon coolpix and edited in picnik. There were even a few of herself taken on photo booth. I found out about this because I was talking with her parents and they told me how excited they were that she was applying to art school, and that they thought she truly had a gift and would probably be let in on her portfolio alone.

This is why I hate everybody.
