K2 goggles stopped a few years back because it wasn't the quality product it should have been. Learned from the mistakes, and pulled them off the shelves to re-focus down the road. (now) The new program has been in development for awhile and is a big step forward from anything K2 did before. They don't even compare.

I would not call the chetlers a bigger brother, the skis are distinctly different. It is also 10x better than the pos that armada calls the JJ. It skis bigger than it's runt of a turn radius emplies, and is noticeably damper and stiffer than the chetler, or blog. I would view it as a mix between a blog and Atlas. I thought it was a slightly stiffer idealization of the Opus, essentially a more charge less slarve Opus. A 186 BG is simmilar, but able to pivot more in tight places.
You will see more skis coming out in this category next year as companies realize that skis like the chetler, JJ, s7 and other pieces of shit are not actually that great at dropping a 40 ft cliff at speed into less than ideal conditions, and sometimes you might want to still be able to throw the ski sideways to eat speed. (see what happens when you try and throw a XXL sideways...)

Those K2 goggles look way to much like some Oakleys blendend, only thing they did was adding a SHRED (goggle brand) square nose.. I dont know but thats a pretty pathetic comeback to the goggle scene..

The Automatic has less tail rocker than the Bent too, and it has metal laminates in the rockered areas to help keep it stable when charging. Mounting mine up tomorrow, so psyched to ski these again. Salomon has expanded their Rocker line to 5 models, down to a 95mm waist. They are cap-wall construction, and look sick.
There are some amazing new touring boots coming out, if that is your thing. Blizzard is making a ski that looks kinda like the Nordica Patron, which are awesome btw.
Salomon's new touring binding is not much more stack height than an ordinary binding, and looks way better than the duke.
