Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

i fucking hate this bullshit delay of game rule. i think that's a pretty fucked up penalty to give in such a clutch situation like that. nj questionably tripped which results in the puck going over the glass, and then they get a two minute penalty. regardless of the team, i think that's a bullshit call.

Tampa Bay seems like the more likely team considering his wife lives there, a more established team who have tasted the playoffs and less media pressure.

So being a life long Minnesota fan I'm used to picking a team to root for during the playoffs, but with these teams remaining in these playoffs it's tricky.

I'm thinking I'll root for the Blues cause bakes and oshie being from Minnesota.

but the Rangers would be cool to cause my roomate grew up with Derek Stepan playing basement hockey all the time.

It'd be sweet to see Ovechkin get a cup for the Caps.

I'll enjoy the rest of these playoffs for sure, and just hope and pray that the Wild will be in the playoffs next season...I love all the sports and all the MN teams but out of all of them I want to see a Stanley Cup in Minnesota so badly.

how the fuck can you get a playoff game deal of 4 tickets + 2 beers + 2 hotdogs + 2 cups of juice for just $100 dollars in florida. you can barely afford one single regular season canuck ticket for $100.

Florida was not the "prime of his career" - see Vezina nominations. And the two most likely trade partners are Tampa and Toronto. Had he spent this season in nets for either team I have little doubt they'd have made it in.

He has been the best goalie in the last 3 years (look it up). Last playoffs he won 15 games. He played 5 or 6 amazing games and the rest were pretty good. He got unfairly blamed for every loss evan when it was the team's fault. I think that is worth a bit more than a second rounder

Sabres proved two things this season:

1. When they show up to play and are firing on all cylinders, they are one of the leagues elite teams. (See 18-5-5 record from January 24-March 24)

A good ole PA NJ semifinals. Gotta say I like it. I'm gonna say flyers in 6. Pissed I gotta wait til Sunday for a frickin game though. Guess I'll be watching some other teams this weekend.

10th among starters this year in save percentage, 4th last year, 15th in 09/10.

Best year of his career was 03/04 in Florida, and it's not even really close, most shots against by far, 3rd best S% among starters, with ~30 games more than the average starter.

Florida drove that that dude to a 1/4 tank, he's on fumes now.

he is. he's brutal. he'll be fine for a while, then just god awful. horribly inconsistent. it's like fleury. he can have some solid ups, but his downs are just the worst. you dont know whether to expect a shutout or 4 goals in the first period. that can't be good for the morale of the team..

That is nahhhhhhht how canadians took a view of last years stanley cups..pretty sure the bruins had 18 canadian players on roster last year, it was practically a win for canada haha

I see NYR taking the caps down in 5 or 6 max and hopefully philly pulls through against NJD because a NYR/PHI conference final will be an awesome showdown of two teams I think play great, physical, exciting hockey

Lolwut? Ottawa was one of the most high-scoring, exciting teams in the league this year. They didn't have great team defense so they had to play run and gun hockey, which pretty much describes the Caps over the past couple years, with some stretches of exception.

You can't say a series vs Ottawa wouldn't be exciting. Every game would be like 6-5.
