welp it looks like the Penguins D has gone on vacation and our Coach... he is blowing my mind right now!

Our D is fucking sad and we have 2 of the best prospect D-men in the world that we probably could have had in our line up all year. The guy is fucking terrible and player development and Jordan Staal.... come the fuck on coach you gotta be able to light a fire under a guys ass at some point. CLEAR THE FUCKING PUCK AND PLAY 60 MINUTES OF HOCKEY AND NO ONE WILL BEAT YOU! Yet they play 20-25 minutes of hockey and then retire.

I wouldnt say flyers have the better team but as of right now their coach is shitting on ours.

No support from your wingers at all, they've broken out of the zone before the puck makes it to the hash marks, Philly's D men don't even need to pinch most of the time.

They don't need to be a better team if you can't stop a fore check or play special teams to save your life.

This is why I start to look at coaching faults and I think ours is failing us.

I'd say you guys played with intensity the whole 60, we just wanted it more. I mean a fuckin rookie hattrick in his first playoff series....WHAT???? That game was out of control. Reminded me of the flyers jets shitshow from the beginning of the year.

So it's Bylsma's fault that the Pens forgot how to complete a pass during the last 40 last night?

It's Bylsma's fault they missed checks consistently, resulting in 8 goals against?

It's Bylsma's fault their cycle lost it's effectiveness?

It's Bylsma's fault they were getting awful option support in their own zone?

Those are things a coach has to make sure everyone knows how and when to do, but the players have to fucking buy in. During the last 40ish minutes of the game last night the players, for the most part, weren't. At the top level of hockey in the world, you can't say it's the coach's fault if a winger doesn't know how to support his defencemen.

I think you're just looking for a scapegoat because you're mad the Pens lost. Or it could be one of your consistently stupid comments.

No actually its very true. I am talking about player development and getting rid of some of our horrible dmen that dont fit in our system.

I am not at all blaming him completely but as a coach you need to be able to adjust your game for certain teams thats something he is not doing against the Flyers. They destroy our system and yes, AS I STATED ABOVE BUT SINCE YOU ARE TOO FUCKING DUMB TO READ YOU PROBABLY MISSED IT, WE DONT PLAY HOCKEY FOR A FULL 60 MINUTES.

Also if I do remember correctly last time you came on here saying I was making "stupid comments" a few people called you out... you are clown that has probably never picked up a hockey stick in your life and doesnt know shit about the sport other than just watching it and seeing people give up. you dont understand lines and how its a coaches job to get the right lines out at the right time, you dont understand hockey systems and how they need to be altered when playing certain teams. you dont understand any of this. All you see is a team giving up which I do admit is happening and I admitted it above not just now.

As a coach its part of your job to keep your team motivated and in the game(as in head since he is not playing but you dont get that) and its also your veterans job. This is lacking from both parties.

There was almost no difference the first 2 games except for the change of personnel on the first PP unit. As I said before though, you are too fuckin dumb to realize shit like that and probably thought the PP unit was the same.

I am blaming the coach for a few things and also the team. I am not saying he is the number 1 problem with the team its a combination, I am saying I am he is not doing a good job with the team right now.

The flyers are beating his system and his players are all playing like dick. Stop whispering when you talk to them in the locker room and light a fire under their asses.

Clearing pucks, getting pucks deep and defensive break downs have been and issue for us and thats not really a coaching issue I agree, thats players standing around flat footed not moving and not giving a fuck because they are leading a hockey game. These are players faults.

The coaching issues I have are far deeper than what you guys are seeing in the games since I am guessing you guys dont follow the pens year round like I do. Our D is terrible, far worse than the year we wont he cup when it was incredible. We have 2 dmen that are going to be power houses just sitting around tooling people in the AHL and WCHL. I mean its like playing against little kids for them. They need the next level and we need help on D. Constantly fucking up line match ups( something sanders knows nothing about) is a problem. Our PK was decent all year but it started failing us as the year went on and thats when I would look who is out on the PK. We only use Jordan Staal for the most part and well he has been blowing dick so why keep playing him for almost the entire PK. When Malkin was growing up and when he was playing in the KHL they say he was one of the absolute best centers on a PK, I have never seen that tried.

When you get beat back to back and earlier in the season by the same team in the exact same fashion players and coaches need to adjust their games... Neither group is doing so. I am harsh on Bylsma for other reasons than just our playoff games so far but its not just him and I made it seem like thats what I was saying I am not. I just think he is part of the problem and having a coach that is part of the problem is never a good thing but then again neither is having players that create problems.

I'm not saying he's bad, I'm saying he plays an unconventional style. It works the same way Rinne's works and even Thomas. He is suited with his team. If Rinne played somewhere else he wouldn't be that great, his D are so good he rarely ever has to stop a rebound. Quick plays really low, watch him with behind the net plays, His D do a great job of giving the other team bad chances and most shots go low. The Canucks had a hell of a lot of shots last night but most of them were weak or very low shots which happens to be Quick's strong point.

As for Thomas he does get a lot of credit, the guy won a vezina and a cup. But he is also able to flop around because he gets bailed out a lot, however playing like that he's also able to bail out his team a lot. He does get some bad goals scored on him that compacter guys like Howard and Crawford would stop.

Well it looks like Daniel is out for the series so our PP will not be getting better any time soon it seems like.
Everyone has got to stay up now, play their best and play with some heart. Last game was better and we were the better 5on5 team, just gotta win a special teams battle for once.

This series reminds a little of two years ago when we played LA and our PK was horrible and were down 2-1. We fixed our problems and came back to take the series. Hopefully something similar can happen this year.

I just prefer coaches that show emotion, shows the team you care and you wont take any bs from the other team, your players or the refs. Yeah nothing really against the guys, they are great coaches, just have different styles.
From playing sports my entire life, I can say I prefer more vocal coaches, I like to know they are invested as I am and even though I know they do care, its nice to hear it

A) I've never played/ don't know anything about hockey? I have played hockey since I was 4. I've been on AAA or Major teams since I was 9. I've played three years of provincial team, serving as captain one year and assistant the other two. Ever heard of Nathan Mackinnon? I was captain over him, he's ripping up the Q right now. I've also been what's usually called "a student of the game" for years, I look up PP/PK strategies, breakouts, traps, rules, scouting news, read the Hockey News every year since 2007. Hockey is what I think about/watch/read about whenever I have free time.

B) You actually revised your argument after I called you out to make it slightly more relevant. There was something wrong with Pittsburgh in those first two games. You're right in that the coach needs to keep his players more motivated and focused, and lots of the players need to pull their heads out of their asses and stop playing like peewees. BUT, in your first two posts you said, basically "Bylsma's being out-coached and that 's why we're losing." You CANNOT blame Bylsma for players screwing up elementary plays. That's what I said was stupid.

C) You might actually be right about bringing up prospects beforehand, though that's only partly the coaches descision too, scouting and the GM and his staff have major say in that. I don't know enough about the Pens to weigh in on that.

D) "The Flyers are beating his system" I don't think so at all, I think the Pens are beating their own system by fucking up so many simple plays. The cycle was real good in the first period, in the second and third all they did was get caught low. The PK would work fine if the D and weak side winger would mutually support themselves like they did at times. These things are not all, or even mostly, Bylsma's fault. Like I said before, you're just looking for a scapegoat.

All this being said, I'd like to see the Pens bounce back and make this a series for sure, I'd hate to see a series with so much potential for good hockey to end early.

As for you making generally stupid remarks, do you remember when you said the Rangers were going to lose because they blocked too many shots? Do you remember when you said Crosby would never be back? Exactly.

On a lighter note, Sens and Rangers go back at it tonight, I'd feeling real good about this game. I think all the Sens need is a goal in the first, that's it, and then they'll go hard after that. They just need to prove to themselves that they can beat Henrik early. I think Karlsson was also pretty nervous/ not ready for Game 1 but he'll be going tonight. Can't waitt
