Windells or COC?

Never been to either one but I'm trying to decide which one to sign up for...

So which ones better???

i have the same question but does anyone know about timberline camp
its also on mt hood but its waay wayy smaller and you stay in the timberline lodge

so windells or this?

I've heard great things about both, but I would say Windells just because of all the non-skiing things to do when you're Done for the day

Windells doesnt hav more to do after. Unless you skateboard after is kinda boring. Whistler has skating too plus a village to walk in which never gets old. Both the skiing and coaching i find better at COC

i have been lucky enough to go to both (i won a free session at CoC last year.. its not like im just a kid who loves to spend money and go to camps)

windells is more "camp like" and def a fun time

CoC is more "individual"...
its like CoC is an organized ski trip and Windells is more of a ski camp..

i think there is more to do at windells..
Windells- skateboard, bike trails, tramp, foam pit, etc

CoC- just has video games, a little bit of skateboarding of mini ramp and small street course.

at CoC you can go into Whistler village which is sick but you lose that "camp feel"

also flying from USA (east coast) it was kind of a pain getting into canada. it was an amazing experience flying in, but its def easier to just fly out to oregon.

age might also play a role in my opinion.. i was 14 when i went to Windells and this past summer i was 17 going to CoC.

i went to windells just this last summer and it was a blast. besides skateboarding, tramps, biking, etc theres also a bunch of other camp held activities that are super fun like dodgeball and gear contests. even though ive never been to COC i dont think id wanna go just because windells was super awesome

Windells! No question. Plus COC has so many hidden fees. Everything is included in Windells session costs, and there's no tax. The parents love that.

Windells has just way more to offer. So many activities, so many hysterical games, gross eating contests, awesome games of dodgeball and dizzy bat races. Oh man, I can't wait to go back. Private park at Timberline, rope tows, sunshine, Oregon summer. It's the best. GO TO WINDELLS!

I feel like every "which camp?" thread has way to many things that dont have to do with skiing involved. Yes i know that dodgeball and whitewater rafting may be fun but when it all comes down to it your going to a ski camp, not your everyday regular lake camp. I have never been to either camp but i think the decision should boil down to hours on snow, is the park good for your needs and of course price
I also feel like everycamp has enough to do that can occupy your time when you are not skiing.
i went to MHSSC last year which not everybody knows about and had an absoloute blast. dont think only the camps with pros, full tilt demos, and nsers are the only ones to go to cause they arent. dont just jump into your decision.
hope i dont sound like a douche
good luck finding a camp thats right for you and have fun no matter where you go.

i have been to both. i think its all about what your looking for. if i could go back to one i would probably choose COC. i would say more but there are most likely 50 plus threads that i have already

Sorry for the thread jack but I'm looking to go to Windells or MHSSC. I am wondering which one will make me the better park rat when I leave. I'm sure all the fun stuff is great but I don't skate and it is a SKI BASED camp.

you only hike a feature if you want to, you can lap mhssc's park with the upper lift, first half of the summer we lap public alot to when its bangin.

if you want to judge based purely on skiing id still go with windells. our coaches allow you to lap both the public park(until you can no longer ride to the lift) or use the private rope tows. you get sooo many laps on the jumps/rails/pipe with the rop tow. when people say you can get 2 weeks at mhssc vs. 1 week at windells theyre not thinking of how much more skiing you can do with the advantage of the rope tow and how much less tired youll get. plus if you want to be a real bad ass windells has the biggest jump on mt hood.

This. I went to windells for one week, it is so fun. Coc and windells seem pretty similar except windells has alot of the 4bi9 crew coaching. There both sick. If your from the US go to windells cause if you fly to coc it's more expensive cause of countries

Its amazing; this will be my fifth summer there. Its great for progression as they have jumps of all sizes including many a step up to safely learn on. They have a plethora of rails and you receive a new coach each day so that you get each coaches strong suits. Whistler village is amazing as are the many afternoon activities which are all lead by pro's which serves as a nice touch. Accommodations are in a nice hotel with hot tub and pool as well as many loft rooms. All your meals are included so you have no concerns and there's also a grocery store 70 ft across form the hotel. You get all the liberty you want, as well.

from what i understand if you are over 18, go to coc is you are under, go to windells. im fortunate enough to try windells this summer, so ill be a little more justified to talk about this next year haha. i dont think one is "better" you just go to the one you want to based off of things you are looking to get out of it

Go with the cheaper one. Either one will teach you alot. Best thing you can do is keep it affordable.

I havent been to windells but Ive gone to MHSSC for years and Ive talked to plenty of kids that have been to both and I can tell you that,from what ive heard, even though MHSSC is lower budget your going to have a better more hands-on coaching experience and also have the best time of your life skiing.

Hey yo you guys should check out Woodward at copper it might not have quite the terain park that other places have but there are tons of fun activityd you can do like a ramp to foam pit, tramps, go karts, skating, biking and lots of others. You still get that camp feel and get to room with a random skier. It was a dint time and if I can get enough money I would like to go again. Also it is much more individual so u get more personl experience but u also get the camp feel.

this. i have only been to windells.i just came back from CO and I went to woodward for dropin seshs. The ramp to foam gives you alot to progress in. I still feel like windells has the better coaching and what not but woodward is a very good alternative

This will be my 5th summer at Momentum and I strongly encourage you to attend too. It's amazing. The camp ahs an amazing set-up great for progression at any level with jumps from 10-80 ish feet and many a rail. The camp includes lodging in a legitimately nice hotel in the heart of Whistler unlike other camps where you stay in cabins or staff lodging, (comparable to dorms). All of your meals at exceptional restaurants in Whistler are included unlike other camps where you eat camp food or pay for your own meals which can quickly become very expensive. You have the ability to participate in a plethora of afternoon activities after full day of skiing all across the region from wateramping, to golfing to soccer games and wake boarding with tons more in between. Of course this price also includes your skiing, a la lift tickets and access to an amazing lane with a secluded t-bar right next to it unlike other camps where you have to hike or take the crowded public t-bar.
