I'd say apc and N&F are both solid entry-level jeans, in completely different ways. I mean, definitely not fancy, and definitely not great by any means, but way better than say, someone going and buying something at nordstrom like true religion or some bullshit. I do know what you're saying with quality though. Pretty sure I actually read something Kiya from SE wrote about APC being big just because they got into the denim game before any of the other names. Went on to recommend the 3sixteen denim as a higher quality alternative in that same pricerange.
