I'm a fan of the ranchero.. should be a sick project. I must say thought that I'm more a fan of the el camino, mainly because my favorite car is a 1969 chevelle ss, and I love the similar styling from the el camino. The camino's went like hell too haha! Throw a 396 up front with no weight in the back... those things are death machines haha! Either that or go for a 454 in 1970... there's no replacement for displacement!

You were looking for a vette? We've got a '65 Stingray in the garage. Underhood's a 396 with a Muncie M22 Rock Crusher 4-spd, racing clutch, upgraded cams and exhaust! Goes like stink!

Going to be driving this once I get my license. '97 Camry XLE. Not crazy about the look of it but that doesn't matter, I mean it has a v6 in it. Probably gonna throw on a thule ski rack and upgrade the stereo.

On framed windows they can cheat and leave a little edge gap, but you will see that on impreza windows and it looks bad from the outside. ALso, before you start spending more money read up at nasioc.com

thanks man, I do spend a lot of time on NASIOC but I don't really know how much I want to get the windows tinted. It didn't - it was our inspection of the frame that turned us away - it had been repaired (I suppose after being in an accident) slightly crooked, which offset the whole car. It was unfortunate because it was rather pretty... you know that metallic blue? We ended up with a slightly more practical (and more beastly), but less pretty, '93:

Unfortunately she has had her problems as well... had to replace the tranny and then someone smashed the passenger window to steal an empty backpack. We also need a new targa roof if anyone has one... someone didn't screw the other one on properly and it flew off on the highway LOL. Poor baby.

Not really, there are tons of high mileage wrxs. It's not like in the factory they built turbo imprezas worse than the old legacys and outbacks with 300k driving around. Most issues come from the driver not the car. Aside from wear parts I've only had to replace a radiator.

My '02 WRX has 260000 KM and it's flyin high! I replaced the compressor for the A/C last summer - that's about it. what does essentially the same car mean?

He fucked up the trans, my guess is that he didnt learn stick on another car, the engine kept overheating, most likely another learning to drive a standard issue, and somehow he warped the back of the frame. And of course these issues were apparent after the test drive and after i gave him the cash.

modded car might not be so bad if you bought it from a genuine car nerd that did all the work themselves. if they said they had someone else do it, then they don't understand the labor involved and wouldn't feel obligated, because of the hours of hard work wrenching, to keep it maintained.

lol okay and my buddy stocked out an sti with a 3076 with 60k on it, 40k of which it had the 3076 and was making somewhere around 420whp...never once raced it, never launched once, highway miles only. lol yeah...
