So everybuddy needs to learn at some point, how to post an image in your post, so here it is:

The picture must be hosted online, You cannot link to a picture on your hard drive. If you need to host a pic online (if it's skiing related use newschoolers)if its not skiing use a free host like: http://imageshack.us/ Or if the image is already online use it if your allowed, some may be copywrighted but whatever

Now when your picture is online, simply right click on it and choose properties. It should now open the properties window and it will have an address/url listed... You'll want to copy this entire link and paste it in your post. Like this for example:

http://media.nscdn.com/uploads/member/pictures/8449sweetie5mute.jpg

Once you have your address pasted, click on one end of it and drag your mouse across the entire address and highlight it. Once highlighted, click the copy button and copy the url, then put a [img] and an [/img] on either side of the address. Make sure you had it pasted correctly and that there is no spaces between it and the img's on either side.. After that you should be all set:

Overall Overall, this computer is great. It works for what I do, which is mostly surf the internet, write papers, watch movies, and talk online. I do have Adobe Photoshop CS2, and it seems to run fine. I would strongly suggest this laptop to anyone on a budget and looking for a computer that will work for a college setting. Performance The specs on this computer are as follows:

Pentium M Processor, 1.6 ghz
512 MB Ram (upgraded to 1 gig ram 6 months ago)
80 gig hard drive
14.1" Briteview screen

Much of a computers performance is based on how well the owner takes care of it. I like to think I am careful in the sites I go to, and what I download. I have anti virus software, and run ad-aware weekly. This computer so far has performed quite well, and is showing no signs (yet) of dying. It seems like if you take care of it the way you are supposed to, it will last.

The speakers on this computer are made by JBL and have pretty good sound (for being laptop speakers). They surprisingly have distinct highs and lows, and listening to music through them is actually fairly enjoyable.

Design Upon receiving this product, the first thing I noticed was it's sleek design. I was slightly skeptical buying a Compaq computer, but I have been very pleased. It weighs in at a mere 4 lbs, making it easy to carry from the apartment to the library, and other places.

One audio in, and one audio out are placed conveniently in the front of the computer, making it easy to plug in microphones or external speakers.

Compaq attempts to make the computer as user friendly as possible, and does a fairly good job. On the keyboard, there is a +/- button for louder, or quieter sound, along with a mute button. I love this because I can easily eliminate all sounds very quickly. Next to these buttons the computer also has a on/off switch for wireless connections. I like this button, because when I have a hardwire connection to the internet, I can turn off my wireless card so its not picking up any other signals.

Like most computers, this has a multi card reader that is super convenient for a digital camera. I can put the card in quickly, and within seconds have my pictures on the computer. It accepts a variety of cards, and it rather useful.

The mouse pad on this computer has a great button that can turn it off if you are writing a paper, or using a USB mouse. My only complaint is that the scroll feature doesn't work online. Maybe this can be fixed somehow, but I'm not sure how to do so.

This computer only has 3 USB ports, so I use a USB hub for expansion.

The size of this computer makes it so it heats very easily. The spots next to the mouse get quite hot to the touch. This can be eliminated by the use of a "chill pad", which are fans underneath the computer. Value I payed $800USD for this computer. It is my first laptop I have owned, so I cannot compare it to others. The specs seemed average for this price, but the size is what really draw me towards it. Durability This computer so far has held up great, no broken parts. I don't do too much crazy stuff with it, but I do take it back and forth from places on my bike daily. Quality Thus far, the only piece of this computer that has come off is the small rubber piece on the bottom:

Other than this, everything on the computer is still intact, and working correctly.

How do members include links or images in their messages, comments and forum posts?
Currently there are a few different methods to include a link or an image in a comment, message or forum post. It is recommended that you learn the method described here since Newschoolers will one day use it exclusively.

Comments, forum posts and messages are stripped of all disallowed HTML tags upon submission. This means if your comment, message or forum posts contains an HTML tag that has ben disallowed it will be removed.

Disallowed tags include: img (image), a (link), font, table, meta, etc...

Including a link is now very easy. Simply type out the url for the link and it will be automatically made into a link! No more messing with the <a href.."> tags.

To display an image simply type out the address of the image between [IMG] and [/IMG] tags. As example:

The above text will be replaced with the image. This will only work if:

The image address is preceded by [IMG]
The image address is followed by [/IMG] (with the /)
There is no space between the IMG markers and the image address.
