Not necessarily a great shot or anything, but I like it. I was mountain biking yesterday and brought my cam with my new $12 sigma 100-200mm f4.5 haha. Took a few test shots to see how it works. I liked this picture. Click for larger image

Does anyone have any idea on if it's possible to make a Jerry Uelsmann like print in photoshop?  I've started doing them in the darkroom but wanted to know if I could do them digitally.

I'm guessing for the darkroom your sandwhiching negatives? but for PS, just do layers of pictures and use the eraser tool and shit until its perfect. it will take hours though haha

No not sandwiching.  Let's say I have a pic with trees on the bottom, and blank sky.  I dodge a blurry spot in the sky of the print of where I want to place the second object.  After that, I switch over to my second negative and essentially burn it into the spot that I had dodged before.  As you burn and dodge, you move your tools up and down so the edges mesh together nicely.

I wish I could scan up and example of one that I've done, but it's at school in the dark room :(

Honestly, I think you would have to use layers and then dodge and burn similarly to what you're doing in the dark room.

yeah i like this.
you're so fucking lame its unbelievable. its obvious you dont really give any thought to what you say and what effect it will have, but do remember that your insensitive garbage opinions can have more impact than you think. i can also see that no ones really getting through to your little monkey brain, but i will just say that you're a giant dick and you should probably take a step back and thoroughly look at yourself as a person.

Have you looked at his wife's work? Not identical by any means, but sort of in the same vein.

id like a little constructive criticism on this photo.  keep in mind its a scan of the 5x7 print because I took this with an oldschool film camera.  I developed and printed it so its not professionally done.  when i get access to a negative scanner ill put more up

To the guy above:  I'd maybe filter it if you have filters, or leave it under the light a bit longer.  It almost looks like it wasn't left in the developer for long enough

That whole picture is out of focus, and over sharpened. Not to mention whatever lens you used has some brutal fringing going on.

I can't really say for sure since it could be a bad scan, but it looks like you underexposed quite a bit. There should be more detail in the shadows and midtones than you're getting.

I don't know their names but just know them as filters because it's what we have at the lab at school.  But basically it is to up to contrast.  So it will make it more black and white and filter out the greys.  I'm assuming they are called contrast filters maybe?  You throw it under the enlarger while you are burning your image.
