Yeah, I've been rubbing my head for the last two weeks and not washing my hair. Its dreaded but they're still not really tight and kind of frizzy on the top of my head. How long did you guys wait before you washed it? What kind of shampoo do you use and where can I get it?
Thanks alot
Peace

I definatly have dreads going, and I don't use any special shampoo. My hair is just damaged to fuck from when I bleached it out in august.

Try knotty boy or www.dreadhead.com. if you live in a big city, there should be a specialty shop somewhere where you can pick some up.

and I'm telling you man, the method you're doing you'll have 'skier dreads' but you wont have real dreads. If you want to wash your hair now, this is what you can do- use regular soap, and take each dread individually and rub the soap in, then rinse it and squeeze the water out like you would with a sponge. Take each dread individually while you're doing it so they'll stay together.

just use a regular bar of soap...it doesnt de-knot or put chemicals in your hair=not wrecking dreads...if there like long then put them in like a stalking and just push the water and soap through them

Yeah, I'm a white boy, I'm not going to get it backcombed because it wouldn't look cool. Some white people look like honkeys with dreadlocks and I would be one of those people. Thanks for the advice though
