Calling all filmers! Want to win a free session at Momentum's Exposure? Here's your chance!
In case you haven't heard, Momentum is launching a brand new photo and film camp this summer called Exposure (which takes place in Whistler, BC on July 6th - 14th), which is catered to those of you behind the lens. During the camp, professional photographer Blake Jorgenson, Poor Boyz Productions' Johnny Decesare and Voleurz' Darren Rayner will on be hand to teach campers the ins and outs of skiing/action sports photography and videography, all while they get to ski and shoot in Whistler during Momentum!
We here at Newschoolers are backing this camp hard, so in conjunction with Momentum, we're excited to launch a contest where you can enter for your chance to win a free session at Exposure...Newschoolers' Next Top Filmer.
To enter, upload a story line-based edit (no longer than 5 minutes) before Monday, June 11th at 9pm PST/Midnight EST that consists of footage you shot in the last year (and it can include no skiing footage at all if you want). Keep in mind that this a film contest, not a skiing one, so your entry will be judged based on creativity, your story line, and the quality of your filming and editing, as opposed to the action that takes place during it.
Once the deadline for entries has passed, the Newschoolers community will have 6 days (from Tuesday, June 12th - Sunday, June 17th at 9pm PST/Midnight EST) to vote for their favorite and determine the top 5. Then on Monday, June 18th, Poor Boyz Productions' Johnny Decesare, Voleurz' Darren Rayner and members of the Newschoolers and Momentum staff will check out the 5 finalists' videos, pick the winner, and announce their decision on Tuesday, June 19th right here on Newschoolers.
The winner will receive a free session at Momentum's Exposure Camp in Whistler, which includes 9 days of instruction, skiing, accommodation, meals, optional free camp activities (such as wakeboarding, paintball, mountain biking, etc) and an exclusive night shoot on the glacier. Please note that airfare to and from Vancouver will not be included in the prize and is the responsibility of the winner.
