Smith Limo Jam!

Spring Rail Jam Details
Gate Admission $8 per day (Saturday & Sunday) / $15 weekend pass
Competition / Free Ride $25 for the weekend (Includes lift ticket)
Lift Ticket $5 per day / $8 weekend pass
Rough Camping $8 per site per night
We discussed it at length with our sponsors, and we've decided that something this fun doesn't need to be that serious. This is going to be a laid back atmosphere focused on riding more than competing. Most of the weekend will be open skiing and riding, and if we find people itching to compete, we'll throw and inpromtu competitive rail jam for a couple of hours. Aside from that...ride until sundown with guys and gals from all over the midwest. Our main goal--have fun! Aside from the limo, we'll be setting up as many rails and boxes as can fit on our remaining snow.
We've all heard the cliche "Go Big, Or Go Home." At Nordic Mountain we are making the cliche a reality. People have called us crazy to try to save snow until the end of May, but our snowmakers simply considered at a cool challenge, blowing over 20 feet of snow on Avalanche throughout year. We've since covered the snow and it will be here for the weekend of May 19th to the 20th!
On Saturday the 19th, we will have a special appearace from the Smith Optics Limo, and participants will get the opportunity to slide this awesome rail as part of the competition. You may have seen this limo at large national comps, and we'll have it right here at Nordic! Visit the limo's My Space page.
The rail jam serves as the "ice" portion of our Water, Wheels, and Ice Weekend. So what are the water and the Wheels? Fort Fremont Marine will be building a temporary pond on the top of our hill to create a wakeboarding rail jam! Fantasy Moto will again be hosting a motocross ATV and dirtbike event on Saturday and Sunday to take care of the wheels portion of the event. For those of you who saw it last year, this year will blow it away...the races will be on our biggest hills and we'll have the chairlift running directly overhead for spectators!
Don't miss this rare opportunity to see Wakeboarding, Motocross, and Skiing/Snowboarding all in the same weekend--but wait, if you must miss, we are doing it all over again on June 2-3!!! (Snow permitting)
Come Friday and stay all weekend. We will have rough camping available, and Nordy's Pub and the Nordic Cafe will be serving great food all weekend. We are currently working on live music for Saturday night TBA.
