My season so far…

Well, I started my season in July at Mt Hood last summer and had an amazing time.  I learned so much stuff out there from my coach Andrew McIver and skied with a bunch of my Ontario buddies.

I had some good early season training and competing with my mogul team and was looking forward to an awesome park and pipe season when I fell on my butt at my first big air comp.  I ended up going to physiotherapy more than the hill for a few weeks, and missed some good pipe training and competing.

Luckily, I was feeling better by the time the Salomon/NS PNWED! comp at Mt St Louis came up and I decided to give it a try.  The day went pretty well- it was a fun head to head comp with a lot of my friends and I ended up winning.

Here’s a couple pics from the comp.  I was doing cork 7’s, 9’s, rodeos and switch cork 5’s, 7’s and 9’s.

Two weeks later the Salomon Jib Academy was held at Louis once again.  It was a really fun time skiing with my buddies and watching the pros kill it! I got voted into the finals by all the skiers in my group with a couple of my other friends.  I ended up having some really good runs and I won!  The prize I got was a trip to Mammoth to ski with all the other winners from around the world and of course to ski with the pros!

Pippin took sick shots of everyone throughout the whole day.

Then I was looking forward to the Telus Triple Challenge at Blue Mountain that just past.  There were lots of people there I knew and lots of great skiing. I took home first place in the rail jam!

Have a good March break and see ya later.
