With the snow flurries flying, two of Denver, Colorado’s closest winter resort destinations Winter Park Resort and Copper Mountain are prepping for opening day: Winter Park opens on November 14, Copper opens on November 2.   

AT WINTER PARK RESORT: New this winter, Winter Park Resort has invested $8M in on-mountain capital improvements including the new Panoramic Express, the highest six-person, high-   speed chairlift in North America, plus two new intermediate trails and 100+ acres of newly enhanced glades.  With 22 days until opening day and more than  two feet of natural snow in the past two weeks, cold temperatures have allowed for snowmaking 24 hours a day.
