VIDEO PODCAST SERIES “GAME ON” TO TAKE GUESTS BEHIND THE SCENES AT WHISTLER BLACKCOMB DURING THE 2010 WINTER GAMES

Social media to play its largest role yet in connecting with guests, media

WHISTLER, BC, February 10, 2010 – Skiing and snowboarding, epic parties and memorable moments; capture the spirit of Whistler Blackcomb during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games through the newly launched “Game On” video podcast series, which will air every second day during the Games. The video episodes will bring viewers dispatches from the slopes and colourful vignettes from the largest party in the world.

The video series, hosted by Whistler TV personality, Kristy Mitchell (@Whistler_Girl), and produced by Whistler Creek Productions (@w_c_p), will take viewers behind the scenes at Whistler Blackcomb, the Alpine Skiing Venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The first episode of “Game On” is now online, featuring highlights from the Whistler torch relay, and interviews with two of Whistler Blackcomb's own torchbearers, Cate Webster and Arthur DeJong. Also, meet Andrée Janyk; ski racing advocate, 2010 Winter Games volunteer and mother of Canadian Alpine Ski Team members, Britt and Michael Janyk, who will compete in alpine skiing this month.
