The first annual Titty Boy Invitational was held on April 4th, 2015 at Timberline resort on the wonderful mahalo volcano. The event was open for the public and without much details being released to anyone about the event I was very wary. Its safe to say now that it was unforgettable day...

Blake Rolfing (in the black) known as Brolf on NS

Jake Nolan (in the white) known as jnols on NS

And Evan Gurek "TittyBoy" (in the brown) known as Shredched on NS

These three are the pioneers behind the event idea and creation. Evan(Shredched) was given the name "Titty Boy" after expressing his love for breasts. Jake, Blake and "Titty Boy" were discussing the epic B&E Invitational which had recently went down and had sparked an idea of creating an invitational after Titty Boy himself. The idea at first seemed to be a joke and nothing more since the whole "Titty Boy" nickname was just a playful banter towards Evan. Until Evan created an actual date and started formulating the event and prizes. The three surprised everyone with an epic competition that had a very different style which wasn't like your typical competition.

The competition had a very simple concept which was more oriented around progression, style, and trick technicality. The idea originally was to have a judge spectate the 3 jump line and also have judges along conways rail section. But due to the low visibility and immense snowfall the jumps were closed leaving only the rail section open which was nicely built and maintained throughout the day. Jake, Brolf, and Evan would call out a trick out of their megaphone on a certain feature and anyone could attempt the trick. Whoever completed the trick or had the most style won some sort of prize (a ton of hoodies, backpacks , mitts, 2 sets of bindings, 2 pairs of skis, a ton of T's, face masks, hats, stickers, movies, goggles, wax and a gopro) They were also on the lookout for anybody that was being creative or trying to progress and learn new tricks or even attempting a trick that was called.

First blind4 out of the wall ride earned you a choice from 2 pairs of skis!

Many attempted and many failed until TittyBoy had to show how easy it washttp://www.newschoolers.com/watch/766821.0/wallride-fun-mp4

This made the event thrive as there was a diverse amount of skiers in age and skill level all welcoming to each other. Everyone was helping each other, giving tips, and reinforcing one another to stomp a new trick or style out a trick that was called.

Andy Parry making a late appearance and goofing around on the down rail

Later in the day Andy Parry made an appearance and brought a huge package of goodies for the event which even included some wizard wax. The vibe was amazing as the main focus was to have a good time throwing down with other fellow skiers and just appreciating each other. I would like to thank Evan, Jake and Blake for giving me the opportunity to be apart of the invitational this year. Also we need to give a shout out for the insane amount of prizes that were generously donated by Windells, Smith Optics and Andy Parry. Because of them almost everyone who attended went home with some sort of prize making it even more memorable. There were so much stuff to give out at the end Jake, Blake and Evan were tossing all the goodies to random people in lift lines and anyone who was willing to take it.

Everyone was stoked as we all hiked this down rail trying new tricks and throwing out prizes to everyone!

Once the event was completly over we had so much leftover we decided to give a product toss to random riders spreading the stoke

All NS members that I met and accounted for: @stupendous-man, @brolf, @jnols, @shredched, @fordbennet, @Lieutenat_Dan, @-N1CK-, @tjacks19, @epapageorges, @jdawla, @silent_giraffe, @McChicken, @PartyWithAnA, @mahleepetri, @p-fo, @JakeSalvador and a shout out to @dannyabth for keeping the vape game strong.

Comment if you attended since I wasn't able to talk to everyone and I know there was a ton of guys from Washington at the event that I missed.

This event was extremely vital to have due to the nature of this season at Hood. Timberline didn't host a single freestyle event all year due to the lack of snow and the same for SkiBowl who never got enough snow to open for more than a week leading to there monthly rail jams never happening. This event was a reminder to all that freestyle skiing is all about having fun with friends and not being afraid to try new things. Regardless of how bad this years snowfall is we made the best out of it and reminded us to be joyful for the awesome opportunity's we have being on Hood and how blessed we are to ski at a resort with an admirable community that's there for everyone.

Here is a final video of all the shots I just quickly threw together... enjoy!
