According to the Vancouver Sun, a snowboarder passed away last Saturday morning in Whistler. The 27-year-old was skiing a glade area in Blackcomb Resortís Crystal Ridge area when he faced problems in the deep snow.
Whistler Blackcomb ski patrol found the man at 12:15 p.m. Despite CPR efforts before and after patrol arrived, he was pronounced dead at 1:17 p.m. Saturday. It is expected that the man fell face first in the deep snow, where he then suffocated.
