TOP FREESKIERS TO DESCEND ON MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN SALOMON JIB ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL FINALS

Salomon Jib Academy winners from across the globe will enjoy a dream ski week with the entire Salomon Freeski Pro Team

Ogden, UT—April 28, 2008— Winners of their local Salomon Jib Academy programs, a dozen of the best young freeskiers from Europe and North America, will have their ultimate ski fantasy come true next week in Mammoth, California with members of the Salomon Freeski team. From May 4th through 9th, these kids will be living the life of a pro as they eat, sleep, ski and film with their idols. The Jib Academy participants will ski in a jam session format with the pros, highlighted by a sunset photo shoot on a jump specially made for the Salomon team.

“I am looking forward to shred with all the G's in the Salomon crew at a really legit mountain! I hope to meet some new people,  start a future relationship with Salomon skis and represent the South!” says Charlie Owens, Appalachian Mountain winner from North Carolina.

The Jib Academy Final is more of an end of the season party than an actual competition. Last year’s Jib Academy MVP,  Nick Martini, was sent to Sweden to compete along side Simon Dumont and Sammy Carlson in the King of Style Big Air. Other then skiing, weekly activities include swimming, bowling, soccer, skateboarding and movie nights. The Salomon Freeski TV crew will have cameras rolling and participants will also get to participate in product testing.
