This is one of the best looking jumps that I've ever seen. The architect/designer of this has my vote! Truly a great feature and some killer skiing going on. Peep the whole story plus a little video on newschoolers. Image ripped right off the newschoolers site. Photos by Christoph Schoech
Since its inception, the Suzuki Nine Knights & Queens events have served as a platform enabling the best freeskiers—and eventually snowboarders—to develop and capture their most creative and technical riding. In the spring of 2017 the Knights and Queens will unite for the very first time in picturesque Watles, South Tyrol in Italy, to form the Suzuki Nine Royals. The invited female and male professional athletes will progress themselves and their sports on a huge snow castle for a week of photo and film shoots, beginning on the 27th of March and culminating with the Public Contest day on April 1st, 2017.
The guys at VirtualTour.at have produced this ingenious tool for everyone to virtually visit the Suzuki Nine Queens snow chateau. Get transported to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis in Austria and get the aerial view or climb up to one of the towers and glare down the castle moat to really get the feeling of how truly immense the feature really is.
The week of Suzuki Nine Knights is all about documenting the insane action of some of the world’s best riders. One of the most interesting angles to get some perspective of the massive course is from the GoPro’s attached to helmets, shoes, poles etc... Filmed 100% with GoPro at the 2015 edition at Mottolino Fun Mountain in Livigno, Italy, this edit features some gnarly shots from the cams of snowboarders like Sage Kotsenburg (USA), Halldor Helgasson (ISL) and Kevin Backström (SWE) as well as skiers such as David Wise (USA), Jesper Tjäder (SWE) and Oystein Braaten (NOR).
