S3 Signs Aspiring Olympian Alexis Godbout

MONTRÉAL, September 13, 2011 – With the 2011-2012 winter season fast approaching, the Forzani Group Ltd., under the S3 banner, announced yesterday that Alexis Godbout will be a full member of Team S3. Alexis’s recent performance on the national and international freestyle skiing team makes him a leading representative of the S3 banner.

Last December, Alexis took the top spot at the podium when the Dew Tour stopped in Breckenridge, Colorado. He is also one of 10 athletes chosen by the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association for the new slopestyle team it is developing for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

A number of S3 representatives underscored the importance of this new partnership in growing the Twin-tip Ski category for the brand.

“With its 32 points of sale, S3 believes it is important to partner with a major star in freestyle skiing like Alexis. Combining a good work ethic, performance and style, Alexis is an athlete who reflects the DNA of the S3 banner and we are proud to be associated with him.” Marc Poirier, director of marketing at Forzani Group Ltd.

“We are proud to have the privilege of helping an athlete of this calibre advance in his career. Alexis has definitely helped us develop our group when it comes to freestyle skiing.” Jonathan Boutet, S3 team manager.

Alexis Godbout is also delighted about signing this sponsorship contract.

”I am very pleased to be part of such a well-structured team that has a promising future in the world of freestyle skiing in Canada.”

Alexis joins a Team S3 that is already well represented nationally. Dominic Lagacé, world wakesurf champion, Frank Bourgeois, who placed third in the slopestyle category at the Canadian Snowboard Open in 2011, and Phil Tardif are currently among the flag bearers of the S3 brand across Canada.
