Well, here is a photo report from Winter Break-

There was a big snow storm. 19th St under 3 feet of snow

Christmas and New Years came and went.

On January 1st as I was literally just getting to Boulder, my friend Josh called me and asked me to come along on the CU Freeski Team Jackson Hole Trip.

As those of you who read my other blog know, 3 of the people I was skiing with were caught in an avalanche. Justin Kautz died from trauma sustained from the avalanche. He was a great person and a great skier. I can't produce a photo blog about the break and leave this part out.

Here is a photo of the slidepath. The cliff everyone was swept off of is on the left side. It is 60 feet tall.

Driving through an intense windstorm on the way back to Colorado-

After Jackson Hole Jen and I went on to the Ouray Ice Festival. It was an awesome way to end the break.

And finally, me slacklining 100 feet up above the gorge.

The break was good overall. Lots of great experiences, and one life taking avalanche. Jackson and Ouray are both amazing places. Jackson is the kind of place I could see myself living in a year to three years down the road.
