//-->Halfpipe enthusiasts rejoice – Okemo Mountain Resort is

the first in the East to open a superpipe this winter. Snowboarders and

twin-tippers can now enjoy the 420-foot long SoBe Superpipe. With decks spaced

50-feet apart and walls measuring 18-feet high, the debut of Okemo’s SoBe

Superpipe proves that winter has arrived in southern Vermont. When Okemo VP and General

Manager Bruce Schmidt received word

from Assistant Mountain Manager Eb Kinney,

at 5:30 Tuesday morning, saying, “The pipe is done,” he responded

with a message of congratulations to the entire operations crew, saying,
