Mountain Hardwear and Doglotion.com Launch WinterSTOKE Contest

Mountain Hardwear and Whistler-based freeriding web magazine Doglotion.com are launching Winterstoke, a national skiing and snowboarding contest. One male and one female will win a full gear sponsorship from Mountain Hardwear by submitting photos and videos of their glory moments this winter and spreading the stoke. The winners will join Mountain Hardwear’s Test Team and walk away with a full gear sponsorship. The contest launches December 15, 2010.

There are lots of contests that cater to technical freeriders and super athletes. With Winterstoke, Mountain Hardwear and Doglotion.com have created a contest that is all about enthusiasm, fun and passion for skiing and snowboarding.

“Last year’s contest was a great starting point,” said Mike Glendon of Mountain Hardwear. “This year we wanted to make the contest accessible to anybody who is excited to be skiing or snowboarding. As long as you are stoked, you have the chance to win!”

“Bring on the entries, you Canadian shredders,” said Jamie Bond, editor of Doglotion.com, adding “It’s a cool contest premise because you don’t need to be the next James Heim to win. You just need to be stoked on skiing and keen to spread the good word. That’s what we do on our website every day.”

How do you win? Just log on to http://www.winterstoke.ca to upload photos, video, and a bio, then spread the stoke and hope for the best. The contest ends March 1, 2011

Photos and videos can be submitted beginning December 15th.
