The title might be somewhat misleading as it smacks of ‘New Hollywood Couple’ headlines, so it’s my regret to inform you that Mike Douglas is not marrying or in some sort of relationship with Whistler Mountain. He is doing something quite interesting though?Come November, Mike Douglas will be grabbing his gear and heading for complete seclusion atop Whistler Mountain as he watches the storms surround him. The majority of Whistler residents watch the storm roll in from the Valley floor but this is set to give us a completely new perspective. Douglas’ new home will be the patrol shack and he’ll be all alone, so here’s hoping he gets some good footage and not cabin fever? oh, and that he’ll be alright of course!?Embedded is a once in lifetime experience. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to step right inside winter at the beginning of the season when the stoke level is at its highest point,? notes Douglas. ?It will be a challenge to document the experience, but it’s the kind of challenge I love. I can’t wait to get up there.? For more info on the whole trip then head over to whistlerblackcomb.com/embedded and you’ll get loads more info. You can sign up for an email so you’re notified of his return (kinda stalker-ish) and there’s rumour that people who sign up could win gear from GoPro, Can-Ski and GORE-TEX.EMBEDDED TEASER – Whistler Blackcomb inside the story from Whistler Blackcomb on Vimeo.Related posts:Whistler Mountain Gorilla Have you heard about the Whistler Mountain Gorilla?
