Mammoth Mountain, CA – With the opening of Stump Alley Express this weekend, Mammoth Mountain will have the most open lifts and the most open runs in California. Cornice Bowl will also open this weekend with service from Panorama Gondola, giving skiers access to over 2,220 vertical feet of skiable terrain serviced by seven lifts, with excellent packed-powder and machine groomed snow conditions.

The opening of Cornice Bowl and Stump Alley Express confirm that winter is in full swing. Mammoth’s Winter Orientation compliments great conditions with on-hill and après-ski events to prime you for your best season ever. Winter Orientation runs through December 21, 2007 and includes advanced ski and snowboard camps, equipment clinics, in-store rep nights, ULLR Festival, movie premieres, concerts, Unbound contests and much more.

Unbound Main Park is in excellent condition with eight jibs, two tabletop jumps and one hip jump. Snowmakers have taken advantage of low temperatures day and night to perfect Unbound features. Construction of the renowned Super Pipe is underway.

Local forecasts call for continued cold temperatures, excellent for snowmaking, and potential snow showers next week. Mammoth snowmaking crews will continue to crank out fresh snow and open even more terrain as conditions permit. Early season pricing will go into effect this weekend. Save up to $10 on each regular price lift ticket and receive your 11th lift ticket free with the Mammoth Rewards Card.
