From freezeonline.com On February 23-24th, Mount Snow held the 6th Annual American Skiing Company Riderfest (a.k.a. Bud Light Boarderfest) Series. The weekend event was one stop in the seven-resort ski and snowboard competition series, which has been called the hottest grassroots competition event in the East. The weekend-long event featured professional and amateur skiers and riders competing in halfpipe and boardercross competitions as well as the Mount Snow signature event, the Mega Mother Hucker Boeri Big Air Competition on Saturday night - where finalists jumped over a live band. The competition began on Saturday under blue-bird skies and spring-like conditions. The Riderfest Halfpipe competition began in the morning and ran through the afternoon with top pro and amateur athletes competing for cash and prizes. Scott Hibbert Male Ski Halfpipe Pro Results: Scott Hibbert 1st Dave DiGavio 2nd Mark Grzankowski 3rd Saturday evening featured the Mega Mother Hucker Boeri Big Air Competition. With an estimated crowd of 400 spectators and live music provided by Natural Descent, of Amherst, Massachusetts, the night was prime for some incredible freestyle skiing and riding. At the end of the competition winners showcased their best trick over the band and under a huge fireworks display provided by Atlas Pyrotechnics. Male Ski Big Air Pro Results: Liam Downey 1st Ryan McPherson 2nd Dylan Hood 3rd On Sunday morning the Ridercross Series Final competition began. With near perfect conditions and a speedy course, participants went full out to take home the coveted crown, cash, and prizes.
