Hey Folks,

last week was pretty amazing for some of the LINE Mountain Commands.

We gathered our troops in Laax, Switzerland in the beautiful Rocks Resort.

It was (as always) nice to live with the buddys from the line team. This year it was Niklas Eriksson, Roy Kittler, Jaime Puigdengoles and one of our FT riders Kim Boberg.

Thanks here to Roy’s girl Nini for the awesome chockolate muffins and to Eva Patscheider for the great bag of sweets and groceries! You girls rock!

The training on Monday and Tuesday went pretty good and everyone was happy when the slopestyle qualification started of on wednesday morning.

The qualis went great and all MC’s on the startlist got into the semifinals on friday. Sadly the day didn’t get as planned for one of our friends and visitors at the apartment and ended up with a torn acl… Get well soon Lena!! Hope to see you back on the startlist next year!

On Friday Moring 7.50 am it was time to catch the first gondola up to the Crap Sogn Gion for the Slopestyle semifinals and finals.

Roy on the second jump

Some of our guys where lucky, some others not that much, but that’s just how a comp goes! Roy was pumped for the entire week and went to the startgate pretty confident after winning his qualification heat 2 days earlier. He got his run down very clean and qualified for the finals.

right cork 9

Following him into the finals was Joss Christensen who convinced the judges with a very clean rail run, a flat 9, sw right 7 and sw dub 10. Jaime and Niklas did great on the first part but then struggeld a bit with some binding problem on the second jump.

Then it was time for the finals.

Roy scored high with his run all week long and so there was no reason to change it. He went big, spinning both directions with solid grabs and got himself onto the podium in second place!!! so stoked for you dude!!! Joss followed Roy and got 5th at the end. It was the first time 2 of our athletes made it into the finals and even one got on the podium!!

Roy, Elias and Oscar

On friday it was time for our european pipe machine Nils Lauper to get his game on.

Cork 7 Screaming Seaman

Through a good result last year he was prequalified for the semi finals, where he did a great job and qualified for the finals.

If you know Nils, you know there is always a pretty big show when he is dropping in – same this year. His first hit was unreal!!! I’m pretty sure if there would have been a highest air titel it would have been his! Sadly there wasn’t so he finished up 7th with a doub flair, rightside flair, his signature cork 7 screaming seaman and a steezy sw alleyoop 7.

All in all we had once again a great time in Laax and we really hope this event will be held again next year!

the LINE MC’s are ready!
