No Jib Academy near you? Have no fear, the online contest is here. Grab a camera, capture your best minute and you too could end up in Mammoth with the Salomon Team at the Jib Academy Finals! We'll be taking 5 lucky online winners to the Salomon Jib Academy Final in Mammoth May 3rd-8th, 2009, and the rules are simple...

You have to be from the United States or Canada and must be 16 on the contest date. All entries must be submitted through the Newschoolers contest system and your edit must be 1 minute or less (NO Exceptions!) and there is no set list of criteria...just show us your best side, and remember...it's all about having fun!

There will be 5 chances to win, and you must submit your edits by 10 pm EST on February 8th, February 22nd, March 8th, March 22nd, and April 8th.

To determine the winners, the Salomon Team will vote on the entries and count for 50% of the vote, and poll voting by you, the NS community, will be utilized to compile the other 50%. Which means you will have a say in who's going to Mammoth in May for the Jib Academy finals!

To elaborate...following the edit deadlines, the Salomon Team will be picking the 5 finalists for each contest, and once they've made their selections, the 5 finalists and their edits will be posted on the NS contest site no later than 36 hours after each edit deadline. (Again, the edit deadlines are 10 pm EST on February 8th, February 22nd, March 8th, March 22nd, and April 8th). After the Salomon team has picked their favorites, it's up to you to pick the winner! So log back on to the NS to vote on the 5 finalists the following week.

You too could be en route to Mammoth...

Salomon will give away a trip to the finals for each winner and will announce them on the following dates: February 15th, March 1st, March 15th, March 30th, and April 15th. Winners will be announced on the NS contest site.
