Jackson Hole's 50th Anniversary was this past Saturday, December 19th, and it (literally) went off with a bang. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has received over two feet of snow over the past seven days, and to accompany early morning dynamite the resort set off a spectacular fireworks show Saturday evening to celebrate 50 years.

The resort also celebrated with the grand opening of the Teton Lift (READ: New Teton Lift at Jackson Hole Opens December 19th). While controversial, as it now makes Grand Teton National Park's 'Granite Canyon' gate, (known as some of the best, yet sketchiest, backcountry terrain in North America), easily accessible from the lift's top station.

50 years in the book and it looks like the entire Teton Valley will continue to celebrate with even more snow through the holiday season.
