INTRODUCING FORECAST - CANADA'S NEW SKI MAGAZINE
The King Publishing Project rolls out launch plans
TORONTO, ON (AUGUST 31, 2015) — On the heels of last month's announcement outlining the launch of a new ski magazine, the King Publishing Project is pleased to pull back the veil on the newly minted Forecast Ski Magazine.
"Forecast marks an exciting new juncture for King Publishing and the skiing community at large," says Ryan Stutt, Publisher. "We've been considering launching a ski magazine for quite a while now to complement our other titles, and the timing has never been better."
The soon-to-be launched magazine will focus on all that makes skiing fun—from the high alpine to the streets to the stories, personalities and locations that make it all tick.

"From front to back to the web, Forecast will a be a fun and lighthearted media outlet for anyone and everyone who loves to ski, no matter who you are, what you do, when you started, where you live, why you do it, or how old you are. It will make you laugh, it will make you think, and above all else, it will showcase all aspects of skiing, and why it's the most fun thing to do on the planet."
In preparation for the upcoming launch of forecastski.com and the first issue in mid-September, Forecast has rolled out its Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media channels to keep readers in the loop on the unveiling of its web and print properties.
Forecast will release the first of four issues of its upcoming volume at the International Freeski Film Festival (iF3) in Montreal, September 24-26. "In so many ways, this magazine is about having a good time, and iF3, being the biggest pre-season party of the year for the global ski community, is the perfect venue for Forecast to make its debut," says Travis Persaud, Associate Editor.
Following iF3, Forecast will be available far and wide via subscriptions and major Canadian newsstands. Forecast will also be found for free at ski shops and events across the country like the Toronto Snow Show, North America's largest consumer ski show.
"Free distribution in shops is a cornerstone of all of King's titles, and we're excited to bring that into the skiing community. We want to do whatever we can to minimize any barriers to getting Forecast into the hands of skiers," says Mike Hartman, Associate Publisher.
